I was under the impression when a show’s official site takes you to their ticket seller that that would be the original and lowest price without any mark ups. Any show in a shubert theater takes you to Telecharge with the original, lowest price. Same with nederlander and Broadway direct / jujamcyn and seat geek.
But recently I’ve seen shows at shubert houses listed on Broadway direct for lower prices than on Telecharge. Why would this be if that site is not the direct distributor? Shouldn’t Broadway direct have a resell price added? Does the official site not take you to the original full price anymore?
I’m not talking about discount sites, I’m just asking where to find the original full prices with no markups. If anyone can advise what I have wrong or what they’d recommend to find true pricing, that’s greatly appreciated.

Telecharge would be the original price, which would be what you could get it for at the box office. I'm not sure what the deal with the Broadway Direct prices for those tickets are but I wonder if maybe they scrape for discount codes and implement those in their pricing? That's just a guess on my part since I didn't realize you could get them for cheaper through there for some shows

May I ask for which shows you saw this? Just curious if there are any I'm interested in.
From what I've seen, the only difference is the total price including fees; the base price is the same, and, while many seats are a few dollars lower on Broadway Direct, some are higher. For example, an $84 seat to Mincemeat totals $99 on Telecharge, but is $95.75 through Broadway Direct, while a $50 seat at the same performance is $59 with Telecharge fees, but is $60.75 through Broadway Direct.
