We have Newsies, Holler if You Can Hear Me, and Rocky closing and we have SO much new shows (Vegas, Fun Home, Neverland, and possibly Heathers) and revivals (King and I, Side Show, On the 20th Century, and Dames at Sea? I forget what else) coming this season. So, let's make guesses of which show is going to which theater and post rumors and announcements here.
List/Rumors:
*Honeymoon in Vegas is already going in the Brooks Atkinson Theatre this fall
*Finding Neverland opens at the A.R.T. next week and already it's looking at the Winter Garden Theatre (same venue Mary Martin opened the original production of Peter Pan back in 1954)
*Side Show is currently looking at the St. James Theatre (even though Bullets hasn't announced a closing...yet)
*The King & I is going to play at Lincoln Center
*On the Twentieth Century is going into the American Airlines Theatre
*A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, possibly Heathers, and Dames are looking at the Nederlander.
*An American in Paris is going to be at the Palace Theatre this Spring
*Love Letters is coming to the Nederlander

"Allegiance" has said they are just waiting for a theater to open. Is that the real reason they aren't on Broadway yet or are they having a tough time getting financing?
Considering that the Golden, Lyceum, Booth, Schoenfeld, Circle in the Square, and Longacre will most likely all be vacant in the spring there isn't exactly a dearth of available theaters. Throw in the Nederlander, Marquid, and Winter Garden and possibly the St. James, Broadway, Belasco, Rodgers, Jacobs, and Music Box and there is a TON of real estate.

My money is still on MISS SAIGON to the Broadway this spring. It just seems too likely for Cam to pass up.
Don't forget about Gigi. It could possibly open in the Spring of next season, if the engagement in D.C. does well.
^I thought it was aiming for Fall 2015?
DAMES AT SEA might go into the Nederlander as FORUM isn't fully prepped to move forward from what I can tell.

I hope Allegiance tanks. That pay $5 to be first to get tickets thing was so stupid.
^^^ Yes, I can see where that is enough reason to be against it, without seeing the show, knowing the cast, or hearing the music.

If they wanted to Crowd Fund, they should have just said we need crowd funding, not make it look like they are doing you a favor by offering you first crack at tickets. once they have a theater, I can just go to the box office and get my ticket. The whole thing was shady in my opinion.
That may be true, but the show should tank as a result?
I'm wondering where Fun Home is going. I loved it. It was one of the most moving theatre experiences I've ever had. I was a sobbing blubbery mess at the end. I'm a daddy's girl, I guess. Also, do we know if Michael Cerveris will stay with the production?
I would hope it would go into the Booth, as that seems to be the appropriate sized venue for it, and is a really lovely theatre.

The Audience I think go into the Schoenfeld although both the Longacre and Jacobs are other options.
Yeah, seems like the first time in a long time that there are a ton of theaters available. When is the Marquis going to be open and available? I wish they would redo that marquee. I know they just put it up, but it's so hideous.
The Booth, Longacre, Schoenfeld, probably the Jacobs would be good for The Audience.
Fun Home has a home from what I've been told. It's not the Booth (which was what I was hoping for too). I'm not going to disclose it-we'll let the proper outlets do that. (I don't know who's in or out of the production, I just heard by chance from someone working at the theater where it's expected in the Spring of 2015.)
Keep in mind there are a lot of plays coming in the spring that will go into some of the small to medium houses, which sort of limits the homes for musicals (we don't know which shows currently running will be gone of course). But, there seem to be a lot of revivals and plays coming.
"Fun Home has a home from what I've been told. It's not the Booth..."
Wait, so people are making these decisions without our input?!
Imagine that. (At least it's got something.)

The Illusionists are coming into the Marquis this November playing through January, who knows what'll be playing there after that.
Anyone know if there has been any more talk about Natasha, Pierre and the Great Comet of 1812 transferring?

"I hope Allegiance tanks. That pay $5 to be first to get tickets thing was so stupid."
Because they are taking a unique marketing angle, one you think is stupid, is reason enough for you to want the show to tank?
There's more to it than simply getting first chance at tickets. Buyers will also receive the cast recording when (if) one becomes available - without additional cost. And if the show is a hot ticket, whether the show opens on Broadway or in a regional production, then there is a benefit too as the buyers ensure their places in line. Based on sales at the Old Globe in San Diego, the thinking the show could be a hot ticket is not unfounded.
The Palace Theatre has been taken. AN AMERICAN IN PARIS is coming this Spring
I thought they'd wait for If/Then to close and take the Rodgers. Guess I was wrong there.
does Into The Woods have a theatre yet??
