Have talks about reviving "The Wiz" started up again? I thought that was long gone.

It's five o'clock somewhere. Caught it the same time as the whole world, don't worry.

Frank Wildhorn's BONNIE & CLYDE has also said it's Broadway-bound after it's run at the Asolo in Sarasota this November - December!

Frank Wildhorn's next 3 meals are Broadway bound, too. I'll believe it when I see it.

For the power of Tragedy, we may be sure, is felt even apart from representation and actors. The American Airlines will house MRS. WARREN'S PROFESSION in the fall and THE IMPORTANCE OF BEING EARNEST in the winter, according to Roundabout's website.

Also, the Al Hirschfeld is booked for the late fall/early winter with ELF, the Cort has TIME STANDS STILL coming in this September, and the Schoenfeld will be getting the Patrick Stewart/T.R. Knight led production of A LIFE IN THE THEATRE beginning September 23.

And did I miss NEXT FALL's closing notice? You have it listed as formerly in the Helen Hayes.

Thanks BroadwayGuy12, I knew I missed a lot of newish announcements.

NEXT FALL did not post a closing notice (I included "soon-to-be-vacant"), but they have only been playing to just a little more than half capacity. Unless their spot on the TONYS gives them a boost, I anticipate a closing notice before Winter. NEXT TO NORMAL will also probably also close during Winter, unless the producers save it. The weekly nut on that show can't be that much, however, so it'll have an easier time than most musicals surviving Broadway's downtime.

So vacant theaters are now:

AL HIRSCHFELD (available post-Winter after ELF's limited engagement)
BERNARD B. JACOBS (formerly GOD OF CARNAGE)
BROADHURST (formerly ENRON)
HELEN HAYES (formerly NEXT FALL (assuming it does close by Winter))
JOHN GOLDEN (formerly RED)

You know, COME FLY AWAY will probably also not last through the Winter. Perhaps the Marquis will be open for Spring buyers, too.

From what I know, Priscilla has the Marquis, or is in the final stages of booking it. Other thoughts:
AL HIRSCHFELD Sister Act?
BERNARD B. JACOBS Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson?
BROADHURST The Book of Mormon?
GERALD SCHOENFELD The Orphan's Home Cycle?
HELEN HAYES Yank?
JOHN GOLDEN Hedwig and the Angry Inch?
MARQUIS Priscilla: Queen of the Desert
NEDERLANDER Cath Me If You Can?
ST. JAMES (Though from what I've heard, American Idiot would transfer) How to Succeed in Buisness Without Really Trying?
STEPHEN SONDHEIM Anything Goes?
STUDIO 54 Merrily We Roll Along?

Just some thoughts... The 2010-2011 Broadway Real Estate Thread

Where would American Idiot transfer too? It's an awesome show I just think the St. James is too big. I could see it going into a smaller Bway house

It can't go into a house with a smaller stage, the set is huge and there needs to be a lot of rafter room.

Does anyone know or have an good guess of Come Fly Away's weekly nut or captialization for the show...Although attendence hasn't been stellar, ticket price average and weekly gross have been pretty good, considering its unit set and no huge stars...It seems to me it might hold on and recoup(depending on its capitilization/nut) through winter until Jags Pricilla rumor would take place.

Well It's def not going into the August Willson since Jersey boys isn't closing
That only leaves The Hirschfeld after elf

E o'neil and I heard that the cast specifically didn't want that theatre
