I thought Patrick Healy's NY Times article was a nice way of getting this thread started. Anyone care to contribute "insider" information???

...and here's hoping for a much more interesting and enjoyable season!

Isn't the Belasco undergoing renovations right now? If so, I doubt anything will go in there before WOMEN ON THE VERGE comes in the fall.

Since when was the Booth possibly open? Are their numbers not doing well?

RED is a limited engagement through June 27, so you can add that to the Open Houses column.

Although I would not be surprised if the show extended if it does well at the Tonys.

No, they're fine. Not sure what Pirag is talking about. The show hasn't had a money losing week since May 2009.

From what I know, the Shubert Organization is trying to rush backstage renovations. Stage to the street is pretty much done, and I think they're trying to have a limited engagement of some sort before WOMEN/BREAKDOWN comes in.

Don't shoot the "messenger."

My guess is that the Hirschfeld, Nederlander, Broadhurst, Music Box, and O'Neil will all be open next spring.

And WICKED is playing the Gershwin - not GERSHWIN.

Sister Act is likely to open in Spring 2011.

A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.

What houses do you think will be a good fit for Hank and Scottsboro Boys?

If I were the producers, I would think the Lyceum would be a good fit for "The Scottsboro Boys". I think the feel of that house would work well with the show, and it's about the right size.

I was hoping for a second that Kelsey Grammer would be moving to star in the musicalization of his 9-episode sitcom. But as for Yank!, I would say the Helen Hayes, Golden, or Walter Kerr.

the Golden & the Kerr would both be perfect for Yank^

However, the thought of Scottsboro Boys playing the Kerr is just to perfect to resist...

I have it on good authority that the producers of Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson are eyeing the Walter Kerr. They've been in talks with Jujamcyn about it. I wonder if this contributed to the closing of ALNM. I also heard they had Marin Mazzie lined up to play Desiree.

The Broadhurst is booked for January with a musical (not sure if it is a "done deal" or if they are still negotiating). There MIGHT be a limited run in the fall.

as per the talk around the Theatre District....Hedwig wants the Golden but if Red extends then they will need to find another house. Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson wants the Kerr or the Hayes and La Bete is probably going into The Music Box. Million Dollar Quartet will most likely play till at least the end of the year if not longer so The Nederlander won't be available this fall. It's looking like The Book of Mormon won't be hitting Broadway till spring.

If they bring Andrew Jackson to Broadway I hope the theatre owners allow them to decorate the house as they did at The Public. It really created a wonderful atmosphere. I think they shoudl take th Helen Hayes. I imagine Next Fall will close shortly after it loses the Tony to Red.
