"Maybe This Time" from Cabaret and "The Letter" from Billy Elliot.

Edit: change "Maybe This Time" to "Lonely Town" from On the Town (although perhaps they both have a similar sentiment).

Coach Bob knew it all along: you've got to get obsessed and stay obsessed. You have to keep passing the open windows. (John Irving, The Hotel New Hampshire)

"Rather than ignore those who choose to publish their opinions without actually talking to me, I am happy to dispel any rumors or misconceptions and am quite proud to say that I am a very content gay man living my life to the fullest and feel most fortunate to be working with wonderful people in the business I love." -Neil Patrick Harris

The first one that comes to mind for me is the Epilogue from Ragtime. I can't listen to it without crying.

Also up there is the I'll Cover You (Reprise) from RENT, The Letter from Billy Elliot and much of next to normal, as already said.
"Art, in itself, is an attempt to bring order out of chaos."-Stephen Sondheim

"Loving You" from PASSION. Also the final scene of PASSION especially the lines "I'm someone to be loved, and that I learned from you."

Cast albums are NOT "soundtracks."
Live theatre does not use a "soundtrack." If it did, it wouldn't be live theatre!

I host a weekly one-hour radio program featuring cast album selections as well as songs by cabaret, jazz and theatre artists. The program, FRONT ROW CENTRE is heard Sundays 9 to 10 am and also Saturdays from 8 to 9 am (eastern times) on www.proudfm.com

Fantine's Death - Les Miserables
Sunday - Sunday in the Park with George
"You have two kinds of shows on Broadway – revivals and the same kind of musicals over and over again, all spectacles. You get your tickets for The Lion King a year in advance, and essentially a family... pass on to their children the idea that that's what the theater is – a spectacular musical you see once a year, a stage version of a movie. It has nothing to do with theater at all. It has to do with seeing what is familiar.... I don't think the theatre will die per se, but it's never going to be what it was.... It's a tourist attraction." Stephen Sondheim

If I didn't believe in you We'd never have gotten this far If I didn't believe in you And all of the ten thousand women you are If I didn't think you could do Anything you ever wanted to If I wasn't certain that you'd come through somehow THe fact of the matter is, Cathy I wouldn't be standing here now -The Last Five Years
