I remember Walter Bobbie's fabulous performance of Sit Down You're Rockin' The Boat on the Tony Awards. It was the best. This one is dreadful.
While there have been many sound issues that looked like it was a mic issue and not a soundman mistake.
That said, I will join the mob!
I give Mary Testa a standing O!
And that is supposed to be the showstopper of Guys and Dolls. ugh

Not sure whats worse:
The year Billy Elliot stole everything.
or
The year you couldn't hear Billy Elliot steal everything.
And there's your reason why this production of Guys and Dolls will not have a cast recording; it sucks.

Though I do like that Guys and Dolls song, I wish they would have chosen something showcasing the four main characters. I haven't heard much from the production and I'd like to see them in action.

The Emmys roll around and some award show always gets an Emmy. NOT THIS ONE.
Although Neil Patrick Harris deserves one for not giving up and going home.
Hears hoping NExt to Normal has an amazing performance with no sound issues!!
I'm telling you Mary Testa= Sheila Braflowski in "South Park: The Musical"

I liked it other than those mic issues!
Spork- No you do not. Trust us. There is a reason they were not showcased in this performance.
So far, there has been not a single show represented I would choose to go see based solely on it's segment on the Tonys. Let us see if Hair delivers.
Yeah, fingers crossed for Next to Normal.

Compare that perf. of SIT DOWN to the one that was just on TV.
Wait. There isn't any.

My thoughts exactly.
Did Nick Adams have clothes on in that Guys and Dolls number?
I dont get it, without a book, there is no musical!!

It all makes sense now.
Guys and Dolls has stayed a-float so long entirely because of Mary Testa belt-power.
