The sound man is going down.
Oh, and I almost forgot to mention...I'm the good cop, he's the bad cop.

Wow! It's just like live theater! You never know what's gonna go wrong or suck!

Bet the sound guy gets exiled from Broadway for life.
Listen, I don't take my clothes off for anyone, even if it is "artistic". - JANICE

They could spend money on that outrageous, awful opening number, but not on sound??

FIRE THE SOUND MAN RIGHT NOW AND BRING SOMEONE ELSE IN FOR CHRIST SAKE!
THAT MAN SHOULD NEVER WORK AGAIN!
You're reminding me of people you hear at the movies asking questions every ten seconds, "Who is that? Why is that guy walking down the street? Who's that lady coming up to him? Uh-oh, why did that car go by? Why is it so dark in this theater?" - FindingNamo on strummergirl

"If artists were machines, then I'm just a different kind of machine...I'd probably be a toaster. Actually, I'd be a toaster oven because they're more versatile. And I like making grilled cheese" -Regina Spektor

"That's, like, twelve shows! ...Or seven." -Crazy SA Fangirl

"They say that just being relaxed is the most important thing [in acting]. I take that to another level, I think kinda like yawning and...like being partially asleep onstage is also good, but whatever." - Sherie Rene Scott

How much did Guys and Dolls pay to get this performance together? to have these issues?
#384

I hope NPH comes out and says something to the affect of: "Well, I told you that was the most expensive opening number ever - now we can't afford sound!"
I'm as jumpy as a virgin at a prison rodeo!

I've often wondered what a classic Jerry Lewis rendition of "Sit Down You're Rockin' the Boat" might sound like. And now I know.

Someone needs to pull a "Christian Bale" on the sound guy.
....but the world goes 'round

That really was a terrible performance.
Oh, and I almost forgot to mention...I'm the good cop, he's the bad cop.

If this were the first performance of Guys and Dolls, it would have closed in a weekend and been buried until Encores.

It's not too early to declare:

Worst. Tony. Broadcast. Ever.

Help us, Marc Shaiman, you're our only hope. And bring your own Mr. Microphone!

Wow did they not have sound checks before the tony's tonight? Spend so much money on a award show like this you would think they would of put more time into the sound and getting it right.
