Wow what a wonderful cast! Still not bought on Lane as Gomez (and yes I know they are going back to the original cartoons) but Bebe Neuwirth starring in a brand new Broadway musical is an excellent piece of news, and she is oh so right for Morticia. It's almost unreal that this is the first time ever she'll be creating a role on Broadway, good for her, I'm so excited.
And I'm surprised Carolee Carmello has been cast in this project, is THE FIRST WIVES CLUB no longer a go?

THE FIRST WIVES CLUB is definitely still happening. They go into rehearsal next month and run July 15th through August 25th in San Diego at The Old Globe.

I'd heard profusely that they're targeting a November start date on Broadway, which is why the news of Carmello being involved with THE ADDAMS FAMILY is so surprising.

Can anyone shed some light on the situation? Is Carmello about to drop out of THE FIRST WIVES CLUB or is she just banking on doing whichever show moves first?

Carmello probably isnt even thinking about that situation right now, as of late these are still both out of town tryouts and could close at any moment, shes making a brilliant choice to be involved in both...She is not contractually obligated to participate in the broadway run of either show until contracts are drawn up for those purposes...I'm sure she has right of first refusal in her contracts. But it wouldnt be an awful choice to make, both shows are getting a lot of buzz so hopefully one will be a hit and its the ones shes in

I am really excited for this cast... not to mention getting to hear something new from Andrew Lippa.

And yay for Wesley Taylor! His performance was just about the only thing I enjoyed about ROA...

I can't help but get excited about this cast line up. I'm a big fan of the tv show, and movie, and am looking forward to see this show on stage!
