Anyone know if this will be on sale at the theatre before the official release date, I will be in New York next week and would love to be able to pick up a copy. Thanks in advance.

I think it will probably be available before the release date, but I wouldn't think that it would be as soon as next week. I believe they just finished recording a couple of weeks ago.

I'm fairly certain that it's available at the theatre now!
michael, what about the dresscircle.co.uk? I know that site was always good to a friend of mine.

Yeah thank you, Dresscircle are quite fast but some of the US imports are usually really expensive like Colony records prices. I might try BarnesandNoble.com see if they deliver quickly. Thanks for the info everyone.

I have heard that the cd is now on sale at the theatre can anyone please confirm this and how much is it?
Thanks in advance.
Yup... the Original Broadway Cast Recording of THE ADDAMS FAMILY is now available at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre. Don't know how much it retails for (either $20 or $25 USD) but it is already available.
The recording hits stores and iTunes on Tuesday June 8, 2010.

But I have to say, I got really excited when they said bonus tracks... JUST the inclusion of the theme song was kind of a let down. I was hoping for Clandango too...
(I like the slightly improved album art though)
Does anyone know if they are selling the CD right outside the theater before the show?
KirbyCat, I think the official album art is the one that has Lippa's credit on the front. The one from Decca Broadway with OBCR on it has been on that site since the day they recorded. Also, I belive that the first three tracks will sound gapless due to the Theme Song being right at the top of the Overture. Lippa noted on Playbill.com that bonus tracks will be available from online retailers. Probably Amazon and iTunes would be the ones to have the bonus tracks.

They have a public accessible merchandise stand located inside the lobby of the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre during performance hours so you don't have to attend a performance to purchase any of the show's merchandise. They start selling merchandise before the performance; at intermission and after the performance.
This applies to EVERY show on Broadway. You don't have to attend a performance to purchase show merchandise at each show's respective theatre.

Ah. I stand corrected. I honestly think this one seems a tad bit cleaner than the other one. The names are smaller and it actually says "Original Broadway Cast Recording". (I don't think they should have the names at all, really.)
And thank you! I was wondering why it didn't include those tracks!
Has anyone on here bought it yet? How does it sound?
How is it already at the theatre? That was crazy fast.

Seriously???? is there any sneak peak audio or reviews???????
Seriously, I hate not living close enough to just run down to the theatre and pick one up.
I think the Decca Broadway site will post them within a short period of time because their music player shows "Addams Family Theme", then switches to "Tracks not available".

That's how Shrek was for about 3 weeks. I would check to see if there were previews up for the longest time, and nothing... Until like 3 days after it was released.
If that's the case, then Amazon or Barnes & Noble would have previews up way before that. Definitely.
I hope the preview pieces of the tracks can be played in the music player soon..
I'm really dying to hear what the cast album sounds like!
And I live miles aways, so I can't just walk down and pick a copy, how I wish I could!...
