Same here, Minna! lol. I'm sure it would be great, though. My only fear is that it will pull a "9 to 5" and not have alot of dialogue like most cast recording do. To fit all 21 songs on one 80 minute CD when most songs are probaably about 4-6 minutes long on stage. The only exception of a cast recording I have would be the Little Mermaid that has 29 tracks. Then again, alot of the songs were on average between 2-4 minutes each. haha.

Honestly, while I know people hate the score, I bet it's going to sound absolutely gorgeous on the recording. I'm sure a lot went into making the orchestrations sound lush and all.
Yeah, that's how the usually are I guess. lol. When I see shows here in Texas they sound clearer on the cast albums... IDK if that's 'cause the ceratin orchestra or number of people in the pit... but you get what I mean. haha.
There's a few songs I can't wait to hear on the recording. The rest I'm not sure of yet.
Jacob:
Yes, they probably will cut some (if not all) the dialouges,..
I look very much forward to hear how everything has turned out on the cast album, my fingers are crossed that it will sound good (and I'm pretty sure it will!) Haha ..
So I just checked in at the theatre and they were NOT SELLING THE CD. I'm not sure where everyone got their information from, but I'm walking home empty-handed.

I obtained my info directly from the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre by simply calling them. The woman who I spoke to at the Lunt-Fontanne said the cast recording was already being sold at the theatre but she wasn't sure the price.
Anyone feel free to call the theatre directly: (212) 575-9200. You need to press 3 to connect to a 'live' person. The rest is automated (directions to the theatre, public transportation info, etc).
dramadude, when you said "checking in", do you mean actually seeing the show or just passing by the theatre (checking up)?
I didn't see the show tonight. I asked the only merchandise guy in the lobby/outside of the theatre selling programs and someone who I believed to be the house manager. The only response I got was "June 8th" even after telling them that I had heard it was already available.
Maybe they are only selling to people who are gonna see the show... so they can see the show. lol. Even if you are right that they aren't selling it, they would be bound to have it earlier than the actual street date. Most people get them at the theatres a few weeks before the actual release. Hope that that's the case with this one... I wanna hear it! haha.

here is all the info you need to know about the OBC album for the Addams Family.... I work at the theatre for the merchandise company.... the album IS NOT yet available at the Theatre... BUT is available for PRE-ORDER. Pre-order sales cost 35 dollars which includes shipping and handling, and all who pre-order will receive the album via mail the week before the scheduled release date which is JUNE 8TH. as soon as the physical album is made available at the Theatre you will be able to purchase it outside the theatre from a program seller. This will possibly start the week before the scheduled release date. that is all the info you could possibly need.

Thank you, that's what we all needed (but not really wanted) to hear.
Keep us updated please!
While most of the songs are forgettable, I was really moved by Nathan's rendition of Happy/Sad. I would buy the CD just for that song alone. Can't wait to hear it again.
$35 for a pre-order and to receive only a week before official release? No thanks!
The CDs could be shipped to Pre-Orders before they have it in the theatre...?
You people are freaking out about this CD? You have heard the score right?
I'll get it for completest reasons but I ain't rushing out to get it by any means.
