Yes! I think you're right about this!
Has there been any word regarding Ari'el Stachel's tenure?

SO excited to see Brandon in this and thrilled to hear Katrina is staying!

Wasn't there word he'd be leaving in Oct? But you'd think there would be an announcement by now. And he just did a feature on this site. What publicist would set up an interview if he was leaving?
^We're to believe he is not leaving in October. The press releases for Brandon Uranowitz state that he's joining a cast that includes him. He must have extended his contract.
As far as I’m aware, everyone who hasn’t already departed extended their contracts.

I'm holding out hope that Katrina Lenk will do the Huntington production of Indecent in the spring. Rebecca Taichman is directing, so I doubt it will be re-imagined much, if at all. I never saw the production in person, but saw the PBS broadcast and really enjoyed it.
It starts in late April so it's not impossible, but despite my hope I know it's probably a long shot.
no one has replaced george abud yet. ahmad m has been playing camal's speaking parts while a violinist takes care of the violin parts.

Samir Shukry will be taking over as Camal.
Katrina Lenk will not be doing a regional production of Indecent.

The Huntington is a major theater, and the caliber of people who have worked there far outshine Katrina Lenk. It's not unimaginable to think she'd do a show there.
For what it's worth, I'm sure the show's producers would allow Katrina to take some time to do other projects while always being able to return to the role, much like Billy Porter did in Kinky Boots, and hell, even Drew Gehling in Waitress. However, I would hope Katrina's team is working to capitalize on her Tony win and get her involved in another major project that would most likely permanently take her away from TBV. She is so talented!!
I'm not saying Huntington isn't a prestigious theater or that Lenk is too good to work there. But she just won a leading actress Tony Award. She isn't going to step back into a play in which she had a very featured role, in a regional production, however acclaimed the theater may be. I would hope she has a few bigger opportunities in front of her, at least over the next few years.

Doesn't mean I can't hold out hope, and I'm willing to bet none of us here know definitively what she is or isn't going to do. Maybe she's content with The Band's Visit but decides to take a month or two off to return to another project she enjoyed doing before...or maybe Indecent was just a paycheck for her and she never wants to relive it. Maybe there are no jobs that interest her out there right now, who knows?
Nick Offerman did A Confederacy of Dunces at the Huntington two or three years ago, Eden Espinosa did Merrily We Roll Along last season. Ultimately I'm still going to go see Indecent regardless of whether Katrina Lenk is in it, but it'd be cool if she did it!

Brandon Uranowitz took over as Itzik tonight! I’d love to know what his performance is like if anyone goes soon! John Cariani’s work in the show was my favorite performance last season, and I’d love to see what Uranowitz does with the role.

Do we know if there are any planned cast changes in the coming months? I just organized a group trip in January with a few friends who haven’t seen the show yet, and I’m especially hoping we’ll all get to see the cast as is (but especially Katrina and Ari’el).
Looks like Brandon Uranowitz will be leaving the cast sometime soon.

Seeing this show for the third time next month, first time with Brandon (assuming he will still be there). How is he compared to Cariani?
