The Biggest Rent Fan? New Rent Blog.

The newest blog on the Rent site is asking us to vote for the biggest RENThead and the winners will be sent to the premiere. I know who I voted for, what about you guys?

im going to check it out..and I'm hoping that they aren't going to be crazy people who are just screaming I love rent I love rent!..Hopefully they taped some intelligent people who understand the message. Not just, oh i love this person's voice and oh this person is so hot and such.

No offense to you Dan, or any of the other people on there, but I don't think I would classify any of these people as the "biggest Renthead." I don't know what I was expecting, but definitely someone who had seen it more than twice and had something better to say than "I know all the words." God, Robert the homeless guy is a bigger fan than that, and he's not trying to win the contest.

Where are all the people from the line back in the day? Have they all moved on? I just think there are definitely people that are more deserving of the "biggest Renthead" title than the people represented there. And regardless of what you think of the guy, seeing Rent 1200 times is definitely more than any of these kids have to offer.

I voted for Kyle. He was the less freakish, even though he didn't give any specifics about why he is the biggest rent fan.

And I'm sorry, seeing RENT twice does NOT a biggest fan make.

I love me some Idina, but I specifically didn't vote for the Idina freaks. I had heard about them, but had never experienced them until now....yikes.

I've seen the show "so many times". That is the most generalized statement I've ever heard.

"I know all of the lyrics to all of the songs" So do I, but I admit that I am not the biggest RENT fan.

"Please vote for me... it would be so cool to meet the cast." Who wouldn't jump at the chance to meet the entire cast? Especially at the premiere of the movie!

"I love Idina and the rest of the cast." Hmm, I wonder if you know the names of the rest of the cast.

No offense to anyone, but is the best they could come up with? I know people on this board who are bigger fans than these people on the RENT website... I honestly think it's kind of sad. I don't even know who to vote for, because I don't think anyone did a good job of advertising themselves.

I agree with you Orangeskittles & korenglish, I was kinda disappointed with the ones on the videos, I was expecting more people like my cousin that have seen the original cast and did stuff like make her friends drive her 3 hours both ways to the nearest store carrying the soundtrack on the day it was released to get it.

I was also expecting them to tell us more about how it's changed their lives and/or made them the people they are today. Not just that they've seen it a bunch or know all the words to the songs.

Oh well...maybe some ones next Wednesday will be more of what I was looking for....

I voted for Greg. I thought his entry was the only one who said anything about part of the message of the show instead of, "I LOVE IDINA." I was there, decided not to sign up cause I thought I wasn't worthy enough to be the biggest Renthead but after watching some of those entries, I think I had somewhat of a chance.

korenglish, I know what you mean. I ended up deducing who I would vote for by starting the people I would NEVER vote for and working my way up. I would have liked to have not voted for anyone, but if one of the "IDDIDIANA!!!" girls ended up winning, I would be pissed that I didn't contribute another vote against them.

The video entries made me sick. Seriously any idiot can get up in front of camera and say what any of those people said. no one said anything about WHY they are the biggest RENT fan and seeing it 'so many times' and 'loving Idina' does NOT count. All this marketing CRAP for the movie makes me sick in general.

Wow, none of the videos impressed me. I would think it would have been so easy to find people that are true Rentheads at the Bryant Park and Today show performances. I didn't vote because none of them gave me a real reason to.

Uh, they all kind of sounded the same. And .. why are people seeing RENT in second grade? o.O

I clicked on the wrong person .. cause I got all .. confused, but I would've voted for Kyle .. because he wasn't like, OMGILOVETHECASTESPECIALLYIDINA.

I was hoping someone would be like, "I'm the biggest RENThead because when I saw the show, it touched me in such a way, and it made me realize things and appreciate them for what they are ....." and something like that. But, alas, there weren't.

I just couldn't stomach voting for any of them. I guess we'll see next week's choices. These kids were too young and not at all what I would consider a Renthead. Ditto to what everyone else has pretty much been saying.
