It is, Bobby (BeanThereDoneThat)
Megan is the only thing good about the show.
I wish I could have been there on the sixth - Saycon and Megan! And Saycon was hot!
I saw her first show and it was amazing!
Beergoggles,
are you by any chance from London or Australia?
OH OH OH.
And I just love when the tweens are like OMGZ MEGIN AND SHOSHINA R DA BEST. DAT RUE LADI SUX BIG TIME.
I think I went through this already with you, Bobby. But I felt like mentioning it again.
That just pisses me off when the kids do that. Because even when the NY TIMES re-reviewed it again. They did not think Bean & Megan were all that great, and they thought Rue was great.
I loved the Original Cast. I thought they made the show work.
I've heard some "archival footage" of Saycon, and I think she sounds great. A much easier voice to listen too.

Saycon and Ana are my favorite...but Idina just has unmatchable talent.
I'm probably the only one who doesn't like Stephanie.
Rue - I can't even listen to her. Her voice is just cracking and this and that...oy.
OBC 6 times baby :)
I love that the Times sneak reviewed the show again. I know they weren't invited.
Yeah, all that Rue bashing for weeks, and then she (and Ben) gets a rave!
Maybe that's because she is, well, talented.
Idina acted the crap out of that role. She was in great voice the night I saw her, but besides that, she displayed some fine acting chops.

She is talented, no doubt.
But she isn't very good in Wicked.
I think she doesn't care.
I'm bringing all my friends that didn't get a chance to see the OBC to see it in January when insulthereBean leaves.
But why do people get their panties in such a bunch because Rue dosen't have a good singing voice? Big deal. Morribe sings like 16 bars in two songs. Carole didn't even sustain every note.
And Rue did a lot of musicals before this in regional theatres etc.

Not talking about the singing.
Her speaking voice was cracking in that Rue style. It just doesn't work.
And Rue is at the end of her career.
What is ShoBad's excuse?
ShoBad!!!
That is my vote for perminant nick-name
i saw Wicked for the first time this august, less than a month ago. i had listened to the cd and really liked it but the show didnt really do it for me. i guess i was expecting a LOT out of it and it didnt meet my standards. Bean(theredonethat, hahaha) had a good voice i thought, so i think you'll probably be fine seeing her, although i agree with other people about her EEEEEEEEEE vowels. And yeah, her acting wasnt...good. and the runs got annoying after a while. of course the rest of my family loved the whole show, haha, and couldnt understand why i wanted to see light in the piazza. if its ur first time seeing the show you will probably enjoy it, and megan hilty is great.

I dunno.
I think Wicked should close soon.
It's in horrible shape - the ensemble, the principles, technically...they changes some lines and some staging and it doesn't help.
I liked the show a lot, but it seems like it should close after 5 years, maybe...
How about:
ShoMeSomeTalent?
I hate the runs (on stage and off), don't you? Hehe.

the runs?
which runs?
Although, because of Rue's "unique" voice, it makes it easier for Megan to imitate her.
People love a Buzz Word, and that is what Wicked is. It's the show you buy 100-300 $$$ tix too and brag to all your friends that you saw, regardless of if you really liked it or not.
It's not a bad show, but there are much better things out there that people could be seeing.
Lala. *listens to Roz Russell*
For the tweens : She is a lady who didn't have the best singing voice, and had a little range. But boy could she sell a song!
BSoW
That's harsh.
The show is very very good, and to the average person who would not pick at it's every flaw, I'm sure the current cast serves just fine.
Wicked's going to be here for a while if for no other reason than the fact that it does 100% every week.

The more I listen to the score, the drier it seems.
IT's just music.........it's not bad....but it, I dunno, it's just dry...not Wildhorn dry...but dry.
