I've seen both Austin Scott and now Ryan Alvarado last night and much prefer Ryan. He looks and sounds just like Lin, which obviously isn't a requirement but it was a welcomed change since I wasn't a huge fan of Austin's voice or diction. The show plays much better with Ryan.
There doesn't seem to be a set schedule and no official credit in the cast list for Alvarado as the alternate but he's first in the list of standbys and also the first listed understudy.
Ryan Alvarado was Burr in San Diego on Fri (1/12). I LOVED his Ham in SF, I was less than enthusiastic about his Burr, charisma just seemed a tad lacking. Julia was in as Eliza, but she was clearly still sick and laboring through some songs. Liked Austin Scott's Hamilton a lot, may try and come back in a few weeks after Nick Christopher is in the cast to see this new group together.
No real advice, but I believe you may still need a verified code from ticketmaster for NYC tix. I am a Broadway in Boston subscriber, and members could purchase only 2 additional tix no matter how many subscription seats you have., so I imagine they are trying to make the most seats possible available for sale to the public. No date released yet though for public onsale.

I belive that the new standby (Dorcas Leung) has had her put in, which would explain why Julia was on. Raven was probs needed in the ensemble.

Dorcas hasn’t joined the tour yet, as she just closed Miss Saigon on Broadway yesterday.
In our millions, in our billions, we are most powerful when we stand together. TW4C unwaveringly joins the worldwide masses, for we know our liberation is inseparably bound.

Saw the show again last night (1/27) and HOLY CRAP this company has come together. Austin Scott and Nicholas Christopher are a fantastic Hamilton/Burr combo...in fact, as a PAIR they're my second favorite of the six combo's I've seen. And both of them enunciate really clearly while staying in cadence, which I think is a must with various tour venues having different quality of acoustics. Wouldn't be surprised to see both of them on Broadway in these roles in the future. The rest of the company has stepped it up behind them, the energy onstage was over the top. They really seemed to be having fun with it. Note: Rory definitely leaves and I think Jordan Donica does as well after today's San Diego closing.

Yup! Today is Rory's final day, and he is being replaced by Peter Matthew Smith. (Happy trails!)
And Jordan Donica is either leaving today or one of the first few performances in Tempe. His replacement, Chris De'Sean Lee, says he joins the tour on February 5.
@conealpetterson (noting my opinion is worth what you're paying for it...nothing)
LMM/Odom (multiple times) OG's most are familiar with them
Munoz/BVD Am not a fan of BVD's Burr, seemed a bit too conniving, not enough charm. Like Munoz' Ham
Luwoye/Henry (multiple times) Outstanding, altho L's Ham is only my third or fourth fav. Henry's Burr was neck and neck with Odom's for me.
Alvarado/Henry I'm a fan of Alvarado's Ham (at least as an u/s-standby), altho it's a bit like a LMM mini-me so I understand why there's a diversity of opinion on this
Austin Scott/Alvarado Not a fan of Alvarado's Burr, the combo just didn't seem to quite click and even the cadence was off at times. Note: it was within Austin's first week of performances as Ham but he was outstanding.
Austin Scott/Nicholas Christopher Very very strong. They definitely have a chemistry between them, they actually seemed to be having fun with the show. 24hrs after seeing them, I'd rate them as my second favorite pairing (altho Michael and Josh could reclaim that). One thing I really appreciate because I bring people who haven't seen the show with me each time, both of them are more understandable than some of the others. This is one of those pairings where the sum is greater than the individual parts.
@grumpyoptimist If you ever make it to London & see the original London cast, their enunciation is probably the best of the casts that I've seen. Most likely because the majority are British and they have to go into their American accents but I honestly, heard/understood parts of the songs that I couldn't recall hearing/understanding live before.

Get thee to Chicago and see it because I would love to hear how you think Miguel Cervantes compares to the others.
grumpyoptimist - thanks for the rundown. I am a huge Michael Luwoye and Joshua Henry fan. I have only seen Lin and Leslie in the roles on video - but there was something very special about the OBC.
