Thanks. I somehow missed it. Even when I went looking for a previous announcement, Google only have me articles about him joining the touring cast. My mom and I cancelled a Chicago trip to see him thinking we'd catch him closer to home in Houston. *sigh*
I saw the show for the second time last night at the Pantages. Raven Thomas was on as Eliza. I thought she was great. I actually liked or even better than Solea. Her bio listed no credits so I wonder if this is the first thing she’s done her or if she just chose not put anything in her bio.
There are two dedicated standbys for the female leads. Raven is in the ensemble and one of the other three understudies for Eliza. I wonder how often she’s gotten to go on or if this was her first time.
To my knowledge Raven booked this right out of school. What I know for sure is that she has performed the role before.
Are the two standbys you speak of Julia Harriman and Jenni Harney? If yes, Julia is the dedicated standby to the tour, Jenni stands by for all three Hamilton productions.

Has Broadway in Detroit announced any official dates for the Detroit run of the show? Everything I’ve found said it’s beginning there November 1st, but the dates were coming from detroittheatre.org which doesn’t seem too legit. The November 1st date seems kind of off, since the first tour finishes up in Boston on November 14th and the second tour finishes it’s Charlotte run on November 4th.

The tour starts up again in San Diego in two days and nobody is 100% sure yet who'll be Alexander and Eliza... is anybody going to the show out there on Saturday that can report who's listed in the playbill?

I haven't seen anything yet either, I'll just be checking my e-mail. I am wondering how difficult it will be to buy these tickets without a subscription. As a side note, seems like various production dates are always under wraps with Broadway in Detroit. The Les Miz dates aren't on the official Les Miz tour website, and now this. Odd.

Broadway in detroit posted this on facebook yesterday:
"We cannot stress this enough that Broadwayindetroit.com is the ONLY official place to purchase tickets to our shows through Ticketmaster. The website: detroit-theater-dot-org (spelled out because we don’t want to accidentally link to them) currently has incorrect information for our (yet to be announced) dates for Hamilton. We want you to get legitimate tickets for all of our shows. So use caution and always check our site for the most up to date, correct information."

I am looking forward to them releasing dates!!!"
Here's a link to that post if anyone wants to see it:
Julia Harriman will be taking over the role of Eliza. Joshua Henry mentioned it at his concert in December and there have been hints of it on social media. Of course, there has been no official announcement because apparently Hamilton doesn’t feel the need to do those.
Casting roundup as the San Diego run opens. (The original release mistakenly ID'd Chris De'Sean Lee as Lafayette/Jefferson, but it's actually Jordan Donica.)

NO, you're mistaken. Chris is taking over when Jordan leaves on the 28th. The announcement is a little misleading. Nicholas Christopher doesn't start until Saigon is over. They announced Chris before Jordan leaves.
Just the first line alone was a horrible way of copying Ben Brantley's review, which said the show is "really that good." Who is saying Hamilton is "all that"?
And "time will tell" if the praise has been warranted? Dude, A) the show has been in existence for 3 years now, and B) YOU'RE the reviewer! It's literally your job to tell us if the praise is warranted!
Lazy criticism and lazy writing is so infuriating.

Austin Scott for Hamilton, Ryan Vasquez for Burr. Julia Harriman is the new Eliza, but she's been sick, so Raven Thomas has been on for most performances in San Diego.
Edit: Jennie Harney is on for Eliza tonight in SD.
Wow looks they took the criticism of Ryan A seriously.
