Got there around 9:30am and there were already 40+ people in line! Never knew the LA crowd was so hard core.
Aw, reading that makes me strangely proud of this city These last few weeks I'd get there before eight and was still always second or third. I think the earliest on Sunday was twenty before seven! Was it Sunday that you went, mizzairee? Hope you have fun tonight.
The audience Sunday was the loudest and most enthusiastic crowd I've ever been a part of. The whole show was just so fun, and the ovations lasted forever. People started clapping for "Working My Way" when Rick said "Summers in Jersey..." He had to pause, and it became this big whooping applause. I just thought, "Aw, man, they don't know the Francine scene is coming up," hehe.
Here's a quick summary, but read it anyway.
mll85, I look forward to reading that line as much as I look forward to reading the actual blog. I thought Lauren Tartaglia was adorable. Very comedic. As far as staging goes, they haven't changed anything yet. We'll have to wait for reports from Sacramento. Erik is going on as Tommy! I'm going to miss it, but I'm glad Deven has a day off. I wonder if any other understudies will get to perform, with the set rehearsals, extra show yesterday, and matinees Wednesday and Thursday. I hope they all take care of themselves.
I'm really starting to be sad about the cast leaving. Got way too attached to them. The show just made me very happy lately. Not to post-jack Lizzie, but I had one of the best nights of my life so far last week. It was great. I'm really going to miss them.
There was a Burban/HalfItalian/Bi-Coastal flame war, a bunch of SF rushers actually talked to each other in person for the first time, Antonijan posted a creepy candlelight vigil picture under framed photos of cast members, the show closed in SF but will be back for the holidays and everyone knew that months before, Don Bleu is annoying, the Chicago cast performed on the Emmys, Michael Ingersoll's site got a redesign, Jeff Leibow is the Vegas Nick, Sandra DeNise left, Courter Simmons went on as Frankie for the first time and was reportedly excellent, Jackie Seiden is leaving, Antonijan made Jersey Boys mugs, Daniel Reichard is leaving in January and speculation is hotter than Monday Night Football, Chris Jones married Jenna Coker, and there was a cute YouTube video posted this morning... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QY9rMivQJH8

If anyone is interested, I bought tickets for the show in San Diego on Sunday, November 4th at 1:00. There is one in row B and two in row C (5th and 6th rows). I just found out I have to go to Washington DC that day, so I'm frantically trying to find buyers. They're great seats, gold circle orchestra. Please PM me if you are interested.

If you haven't started doing it already, drop SF from the SF/Chicago cast. The official site for the sitdown production in Chicago is up and running (same layout as the Tour and Vegas sites), and they changed the Chicago marker on the map that shows up on jerseyboysinfo.com to yellow, just like all the other long term productions.
I should change the name of this thread that shows up on the board to "The Non-Broadway Jersey Boys Thread".
Jersey Boys: Chicago

But THAT would be exclusionary!
What's funny is on the tour site it still lists San Francisco/Chicago. I can't wait for the next set of slash marks come November.
Anyone know who's the new Mary Delgado in the Sherry cast?

I guess we can expect SF/Chicago to be replaced by SF/Vegas on the offical tour site soon. And if history keeps repeating itself it will always be SF/[name of next destination] because evidently San Francsico is where all new companies of Jersey Boys start off.
If that region exclusivity clause I heard the Vegas production has does expire, the producers should just give San Francisco a sitdown production when it does.

So, the tour closes in Tempe today and then moves on to San Diego with performances starting 10/18.
And the Chicago sitdown officially opens today. I hope the cast and crew have a great Opening night. I'm sure they're glad to finally get one after 5 months. Although Michael and Jarrod already have atleast one official opening under their belt with this show.
YES!! An unaltered B-roll of the Chicago cast. Thanks for posting the link Lizzie.

^ That was a great article. Thanks for posting the link.
Another video! Kind of fuzzy, and it's of the Sherry cast (though this is is a Chicago site...), but enjoy. :)
Also, there are a ton of Chicago reviews up on the Jersey Boys blog.

That's definately exciting. Thanks for that piece of news.
Now if any of us go to Chicago, we have a fighting chance to see the show seeing that tickets are basically sold out.

Eric Gutman has updated his blog (http://tinyurl.com/2ule77) Here's a quick summary but read the whole thing.
- Talks about going on as Tommy while Deven was on Vacation.
- A small trip to Sedona
- Lauren Tartaglia, Jackie Seiden, and Sandra DeNiese have left the tour. Replacing them will be Sarah Darling (Francine), Holly Ann Butler (Lorraine) and Jamie Karen (Mary).
- Directly from his blog. "So much more to talk about, but honestly, I don’t know what I’m officially allowed to discuss. All you need to know is the Vegas cast will probably be officially announced soon and lots of things will start to make sense. Until then, I leave you all to speculate on the Broadway World boards and see what exciting conclusions everyone comes up to."
The offical tour site had been updated. They took off the SF/Chicago cast, now the tab just says San Francisco. I guess the slash next destination part is coming in later. But it would be cool if the producers decided to give SF a cast that wasn't going to leave in a few months, and that whole "limited engagement" thing was just a way to sell tickets. But let's face it, /Las Vegas will probably be tacked on later.
Speaking of Vegas. I know alot of rumors have been floating around about who has been cast but I think a majority of it was in the 2 months of posts that were deleted. It was discussed on the message board over at the JB Blog so I'll just post what's been said over there, here.
Seem to be pretty much confirmed.
Jonathan Hadley - Bob Crewe
Jeff Liebow - Nick Massi
Graham Fenton - Not sure what part
Names that were mentioned but nothing confirmed.
Joseph Leo Bwarie - Frankie Valli (not sure if he's principal or alternate)
Andrew Rannells - Bob Gaudio
Natalie Bradshaw - One of the Jersey Girls
Now I wonder if Sarah Darling is a temporary or permanent replacement for Melissa. Which could mean that Melissa isn't coming back at all or if she is, it might not be to the tour but to another company, Vegas possibly. And I've heard rumors are floating around regarding certain members of the tour transfering to the Vegas cast.

Thanks SO SO much for that info!
We've obviously all been dying to find out any clue about the Las Vegas cast.
On another note, do you think it's possible that Rick Faugno might be in the Las Vegas cast? Like, is it true that his girlfried is one of the girls?
Because when I went out to Sac in September, Rick said he might not be with the Sherry cast by Seattle. He wouldn't specify exactly why, but it's possible, right?

I've heard the rumors that Rick's girlfriend has been cast in the show and Rick might be the Vegas Frankie, but those are just rumors. But from what you said it's possible that he might be. But I think December is when some contracts are up so it's possible that he decides not to resign.
In regards to other tour to Vegas rumors, I've heard that Deven and Lauren were moving to the Vegas cast. But then again those are just rumors and I don't know if there was anything that might even slightly support those rumors. Although with Lauren leaving the tour, it seems possilbe with her. But with Deven it might have just been some wishful thinking among some people.
I guess we'll see what goes down when they announce the cast. And hopefully, as Eric says in his blog, it's soon.

I've also heard Steve Gouveia rumors. I don't trust casting rumors, but they're amusing in the meantime.
I would also suspect that there is going to be some juggling as they try to find the balance in each cast.
