I can't get over the Glenn Carter thing. Next time I make it to the UK, I just might have to see this.

i realize that no one likes a newbie, but bear with me...
i thought i read a post a week or so ago requesting a copy of the tempe playbill for the jersey boys tour. in all the chaos on the board lately, though, i can't seem to find the post or remember who the post-er was. i have a few extra playbills, so i'd be happy to drop one in the mail, if you (whoever you are) still need it.
At least 10 pages of this thread disappeared in the chaos, fortunately or unfortunately.

Are there any of the posters here attending the BC/EFA for Jersey Boys at the Marriott Marquis Times Square on Sunday evening? I'm also wondering if anyone is "rushing" the August Wilson for cancellation or SRO tix that afternoon. It would be nice to hang out with fellow "diehard" SF fans while discussing our favorite play!
It will be a great event with Jersey Boys fans supporting a great cause and chance to hang out with the OBC! Food, drinks, presentations to the cast from us, the fans, and a cool auction of "one of a kind" props and memorabilia! See ya there!
Oh Dear! They look an uncharismatic bunch. The lead looks like a bank clerk not a pop singer. I can't see the ladies swooning in the aisles for this lot. What's worse they look suitable to represent a 1950's British skiffle band not Italian-Americans from New Jersey. AS some said above they look so ......English. . Think I'm entitled to be rude about this as I'm English myself.
I'd hoped for JLY and Christian Hoff to give the show a really good launch.Don't forget Jersey Boys is not an *automatic* hit in the UK. The 4 Seasons had fewer hits and their following is more of the cult variety than a widespread one.
I agree that Jersey Boys may not be an immediate hit in the UK, but maybe we forget that it was "us" against "them" during the British Invasion when the Four Seasons "defended" the US against the other bands.
I really don't care because they are "Jersey Boys" nontheless, went through the same casting as John Lloyd Young, Jarrod Spector, Chris Jones and their supporting casts, and would not have earned the starring roles if they were not talented to begin with.
I wish for them to have further success in their careers and hope that Jersey Boys will be popular in the UK when their run starts!
overthemoonboy I thought Jonathan Hadley was slated to play Bob Crewe in Vegas. If I'm wrong then PM me.
ETA: It's been rumored that Rick Faguno's girlfriend has been cast in the vegas company. Over on the boards at the JB Blog someone mentioned, Joyce Chittick, who is Rick's girlfriend, has been cast as Mary Delgado. The person who mentioned it won't say where they heard it so I guess we'll see how right they are when they officially announce the cast. Updated On: 10/17/07 at 10:48 PM
Just found this new Web site, well new to me, called Broadwayunderstudies.com.
It mentions that Courter Simmons will be going on for Frankie in San Diego for tomorrow's matinée (Thursday, October 18th), as well as the show on Tuesday, October 23rd (evening) and the matinée on Thursday, October 25th.
The site also links to Courter's Web site, www.courtersimmons.com, which confirms this.
With all the rumors flying around saying Rick is going to the Vegas cast. I suspected something when it was posted that Courter is going on as Frankie and his schedule looks likes one they could give the alternate. Then I find a post on the JB Blog message boards with some interesting news. And it looks like Rick is leaving the tour, maybe he's moving to the another company (Vegas maybe), or he leaving the tour for another project.
WOULD THEY ANNOUNCE THE VEGAS CAST ALREADY!!!!! And do it before the engagement in SF starts.
This is interesting, too. I don't think it said that yesterday!
And usually they're pretty good about updating cast bios (although I guess anything is good compared to lesmis.com), but a few people on the tour list aren't in the cast anymore.

I mentioned that the tab was changed to just SF in a fairly recent post. But you're right about the site being pretty much kept up to date. Ususally after an engagement ended, it was off the map that shows up on the home page the next day. Hopefully the next time the site is updated it will include the cast for the SF engagement.
