Well it's good to hear he plans to be back in the show tomorrow night. But if he's not ready yet then he should take more time.
And something unrelated. Jeremy Kushnier's has been redesigned.

So, the earlier parts are Spring, Summer, and Fall?
Yes, and the big giant Jumbotrons helpfully state the seasons in big bright colors and letters.

I never knew there was a part of the show called Winter, either. So, the earlier parts are Spring, Summer, and Fall?
Yes, each time another one of the Four Season takes narration duty it's a different seasons. And if you watch the screens then you see what season you're in when they start.
Tommy does Spring, basically the formation of the group.
Bob does Summer, when the group becomes a success.
Nick does Fall, when the group falls apart.
Frankie does Winter, when the original group is basically over and Frankie is on his own.

They did "Business Time"? I LOVE Flight of the Conchords, and practically all the songs they performed.
Why can't the bway cast do something like this?

Posted: 8/21/07 at 10:21pmIt was SO hysterical. :) I'd never heard anything from/by Flight of the Conchords (I'd only heard OF them), so it was totally unfamiliar to me.

It was hilarous, I've never seen the show, since I don't have HBO, but I've watched clips of them on youtube.
Mike Erickson and Ryan Quinn West came onstage acting all awkward then when they started singing they really got into it. They whole audience was laughing during the song.

I tend to ignore the screens generally, as although I think I get what they were going for, I really am not a fan of pop art and I prefer watching the actors to the screens. But of all the screens, I'd think the seasons were the most obvious, as besides being giant and colorful, they are accompanied by a big banging sound.

It's hard to see the screens from the rush seats.
No...it's not...

I'm guessing you're not watching the show in SF then.

Posted: 8/22/07 at 12:14amI believe that MaryG has seen the show in both SF and LA. From my understanding most of the cast is well aware of her obsession with Erich and her stalker-like activities. Not only did she wait outside the theatre 45 minutes one day for Erich, but he was taken away from the Virgin Megastore signing when she showed up. Maybe her problem isn't that she's not watching the screens, it's that she's got other things on her mind.

Dreams#1566
Posted: 8/22/07 at 1:45amdoes anyone know who wrote/performs the song Dreams that all the cast members sang at the end of ONO?
Dreams#1567
Posted: 8/22/07 at 1:57amActually the story behind dreams is really touching. Jeremy told it before they started singing. One of his friends, Stephen Bates, contracted HIV and eventually developed AIDS and passed away. He wrote the song "Dreams" for his daughter before he passed. In the program, it mentioned that the night was in memory of him.

This is Stephen Bates' obit. He had a ton of musical theatre credits.

Posted: 8/22/07 at 2:15amI just read the obit. and the main connection is through Larry Baker. "Dreams" was a touching way of ending a great night of entertainment.

So according to an email I just got from Sacramento California Musical Theatre:
An additional Saturday matinee performance has been added for the Sacramento engagement of the national tour of JERSEY BOYS - The story of Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons. The new performance is scheduled for Saturday, September 8, at 2 p.m.
Blog Update From Melissa Strom#1574

So we all heard that Melissa Strom is taking an extended leave from the show. In her blog she explains why she has too.
I hope Melissa takes this time to just relax and get back to 100%. I'm sure all the fans of the show share the same sentiment.
