Oh damn! I wonder if they already knew about it but were doing one of those PR "by popular demand" things. Makes me think of Eric Gutman's blog. Poor cast.

I think they knew about it because Eric mentioned in one of his post that they basically bought out most of their days off and are making them do as many shows as possible in Sac. Because not only are they performing the show, they're tech rehersing the set that they'll actually be taking on the road. I'm sure most days they're going to be exhausted and to add on, it's like an oven in Sac at this time of year. Here's hoping they survive the Sacramento run.
Eh, it's not like there's anything to do in Sacramento, anyway.
That is going to be a crazy schedule for everyone. Yikes.

I'm assuming Wade McCullum has already left the production, not sure, although he wasn't at ONO on Monday, and if he hasn't yet then his last performance might be today. But, as Bi-costal stated in an earlier post, Dominic Bogart starts tomorrow. His bio is already up on the official site.
ETA:
Also, Doug Crawford's replacement, Christopher DeAngelis bio is also up on the offical site.
Let's all wish Doug and Wade success in their future projects.

Hey, if I link to Dominic's site, will Matt notice the bump in hits and update the news page? Just a thought.

Clips from the Post St. ONO with the Avenue Q Cast.
mll85: Not yet-- he is finishing up the weekend. He is truly great and I've grown to love his Norm so much.
The ONO was completely fabulous. The songs were raunchy, saucy, sometimes classy, very funny, and certainly songs that helped take stress off your shoulders and just let you have a good night...!
Antoni: The whole point of Jake's part in the "It Sucks To Be Me" was to say that he ISN'T gay-- even though everyone *thinks* he is. That was what he was talking about in the song.
Also, Steven Goldsmith (mmm) was the one who mentioned the line, "You are no John Lloyd Young." One thing he also mentioned in the song, for all you fans, is that he will be going on for Frankie "next month." ^_^ Groupies better get there and support the beauty and brilliance that is him
Does anyone have any new news about who is in the Vegas cast?

BuRBaN, thanks for clarifying on when Wade is leaving. I wasn't sure of the exact date of his last performance and was going on what I've heard from other posters and taking a ballpark guess. And as for Steven going on as Frankie next month, I'm not quite sure if Jarrod is actually going on vacation and Steven gets to go on or if they just said it for lyrical purposes. Although if it's true that's great because I enjoy his Frankie. And maybe John Michael Coppola will get to get to cover Frankie too if Jarrod is really going on vacation.

Yeah, I figured that later thanks to the posted evidence. Oops!
I hope he meant that and it wasn't just a fun lyric. ("Jarrod's on vacation!") I'll be there with bells on. My Sept. is so packed, but I'll do what I can to see him as Frankie again.
Definitely true .
Jarrod's vacation will be the 17th through the 23rd, so plan plan plan. And judging by those days, John Michael Dias will have the Wednesday Mat/Sunday show. And that would leave the other shows (6 in total) for JMC and SMG-- 3 each .
And Dominic Bogart... MY GOD what a looker. He walked onto the stage yesterday before the show and he just looked flawless. I was farther away, but my god, he might be a distraction to the show. Excited to see him.

Ok, this is completely off what the tread is about but I thought I should post it. If Bob Gaudio and Frankie Valli approve him, looks like the London production might have their Frankie. Ok, back to the tour.
Ryan Molloy is singing for the chance to star in a Valli good show
Thanks, Burban!
John Michael Coppola hasn't gone on yet, has he?
Oh, the Bogart brothers. They're everywhere. Although I haven't seen this one in anything...yet. Wade amused me a lot in the role, but it will be interesting to see something new.
Shhh, don't tell anyone, but Steven Goldsmith might be my favorite Frankie. I think I need to see him in the role again to decide.

I figured someone in particular would respond to this, and well, we'll see how it goes from here.

Hey guys, haven't been here in awhile... just moved to LA. Went to the Ahmanson to try and get Hot Tix. Got there around 9:30am and there were already 40+ people in line! Never knew the LA crowd was so hard core. By the time noon came around, there must've been over 100 people. I wasn't able to get tickets to either the matinee or evening show... boo! But I got $20 balcony seats for Tuesday evening, so I will be sure to give you guys a full update on how the show's doing in LA.

Can't wait to hear it. Eric Gutman mentioned in his blog that they're rehersing new staging while in LA that will work with the speed set that's up in Sac. Tell us if they started using the new staging yet, and if not I guess we'll have to wait for updates from people who see the show in Sac next month. I'm wondering how drastic the changes are going to be .
