The Histories gets Best Company

I was about to say i wish i had won an Olivier Award, then i re-thought that: i wish he had his arm around me... :P

Is there anyone who *doesn't* love Russell Tovey?

Black Watch was at the Barbican. They closed off the auditorium and set up the traverse staging on the stage itself. It was pretty darn awesome. I'm ever so glad they won Best Sound Design; it might be a sign of how weird the nominations this year were (or just how weird I am) that this was the category I was most interested in this year. XD

Patrick Stewart's Claudius won an award; does this mean Kevin McNally is less likely to win for the same role next year? He's my early early EARLY favourite for 2010, but would the awards people want to shy away from awarding the same role two years running, even though they're different people in different productions?

Pleased to see Lesli Margherita win as well. She totally deserved it; hope she's not out celebrating too hard afterwards, we're seeing Zorro tomorrow. XD

Black Watch's chorie was great, but not worthy of an award. I would've thought Zorro would grab that award. Oh well

Hmmmm - no - not really - but at least they recognise them - it's not just about the popular, commercial stuff.

True, they need to be acknowledged somewhere. However they seem like a bit of a sidetrack to what is already a long show (1 hour < interval)

Why isn't the show televised anymore?

EDIT: yes I've asked that before but can't be bothered going back and finding the answer I was given. I'm way too lazy :)

Yippee!! Saw the final performance of Piaf and was totally in awe of Elena - cannot agree more with whichever critic said she was "the living embodiment of Piaf".

Oh bless! After the freakin' weird nominations list, it's nice to see the awards committee celebrating my birthday by pleasing me so. :3 Thank you for my birthday wishes. :3

I always thought Piaf was a play with songs; I'm pretty sur it was in the play categories when it was up for Tony awards. I'm not that bothered though; just glad someone deserving got the award!
