Hello

Hello.

Just a helpful tip - normally on these boards the subject line indicates what the substance of the post will be about, so as potential clickees know what they're getting.

I'm bored and on my own right now, so I'll click on anything.

Hello

Are you glad you saw it before it leaves in 200 years?

This gave me the worst headache I've had in years.

Hello

What makes you think TLK is leaving?

I appoligise for any spelling mistakes. I may be on my mobile. Clumsy fingers and small little touchscreen keys don't mixx. I try to spellcheck, but I may miss something.

Hello

In the current version, the stampede leads OUT of the theater.

Hello

If you're going to start a new thread with "Hello" as a title, at least have the common decency to follow it up with "It's me..." in the actual post.

Hello

I was wondering if after all these years you'd like to meet to go over The Lion King.

I agree, Matilda is obviously not among the best shows on Broadway.

How is that "obvious"? You may not like it, but that doesn't mean everyone dislikes it. Art is subjective. Opinions are not factual.

I don't think obviously belongs next to best or worst show on Broadway. Theatre is subjective and everyone has their own opinion on it. Just because you don't enjoy a show doesn't mean everyone doesn't enjoy a show. Just because you love a show doesn't mean everyone loves a show. No show is obviously the best or worst. It is all a matter of opinion.

Hello

I thought Ragtime was better than TLK

I preferred Kinky over Matilda

That would be extremely shocking since that show basically funds the development of their other shows. Plus, it's about to hit the big 2-0 in about two years.

Hello

On contrary, TLK is the most tepid and overrated show I've seen on Broadway and I dozed off in the first act. It simply lacks the momentum to carry it through. It might be much better before, and perhaps the cast was simply tired the night I went.

#23

Hello

I agree it is overrated. It is staged beautifully but it cannot hold a candle musically to Ragtime

But it's a sentimental musical as it was the first Broadway musical for many of the younger generation. You can't stick a seven year old (or a four year old in some cases) in front of Ragtime and expect them to follow the story and enjoy themselves.

Hello

I've heard that they have been reusing all the rafikis and the Mexico City production's rafikis is the first new one in years. They need to start getting new people in there fast!
