Dear Valued Ticket Holder,

We are writing to you in regards to your tickets for the 8pm performance of THE LITTLE MERMAID on Thursday, January 10, 2008. As you may be aware, the preview performances of THE LITTLE MERMAID were affected by the recent Stagehands work stoppage and because of this we have had to reschedule our official Press Night to Thursday, January 10, 2008. For this reason, your performance has been cancelled, and your original form of payment will be refunded by Ticketmaster. You will receive a separate email from Ticketmaster shortly detailing this refund.

We sincerely hope that you still wish to see the show and will make it as easy as possible for you to do so. To this end, in the next few days, you will receive a phone call from our Guest Relations team to discuss how we can rebook your tickets for a future performance.

Once again, we apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and will be in touch with you soon.

Sincerely,

Disney on Broadway Guest Relations

Sounds like they handled it quite well.

None of the other shows that rescheduled their openings did this, correct?

What did the other shows do? I was wondering that.

They either added an additional performance as the Opening Night, or they kept one of the public performances as Opening Night.

Hi,

Out of curiosity, when did you receive this e-mail because I purchased my tickets through the box office and keep getting informed of nothing. But the box office assured me that we would be compensated in some way other than a refund, so if this is the case, there will be issues.

How is it Mermaid's fault? I would blame the unions.

Because Mermaid should have honored the tickets already bought noting that many people can't reschedule. They should've added a performance and made that the opening night.

Well, I have some news for you, HB.

I saw LITTLE MERMAID last night, and girlfriend screws fans over in more ways than one, so it looks like you may be in luck.

You have an open slot now that you can fill with another show.

This season is filled with wonderful new productions.

Choose something different.

Most likely replacement for that night is going to be Drowsy Chaperone. Been wanting to see that show for a while and I love Bob Saget...so it makes sense to see now.

So Wanna Be a Foster.....can you elaborate what you meant by your post about last night? LOL

I agree with WBaF. There's much better stuff to see here.

ETA: I've seen Saget twice now in DC and he's fantastic. I was there last night (lottery) and Cindy Williams (who is playing Mrs. Tottendale) is pretty good, too. Updated On: 12/19/07 at 10:59 AM

Foster, I may love you. And now I'm anxiously awaiting the promised review.

I'm not going anywhere near it now, even if it does open. Now, I know, when it does, I am absolutely certain that it will fail.

1. Why wouldn't it open?
2. Why is it doomed to fail?
3. Does your one ticket NON PURCHASE make that much difference?
