I just got it from footlight!
I didn't finished listening to it, but till now it really sounds amazing!
Anybody else got it?
Yeah I got it at the Theater last Sunday.
Christina sounds much better in the live in the Theater! It's still a great recording. Her "Where Am I Going?" new verse is beautiful.
Denis, Janine, Kyra, and Paul are all fabulous on the CD!

Im going to the show tonight (CANNOT WAIT!!!) and will be sure to pick up the CD.
Let us know how you enjoy the show Wicked
I got it yesterday. It sounds much better on CD than it does in the theatre.
How long did it take to have it sent to you? I ordered mine on Tuesday, just curious!
MEF..
Are you serious? I think the Orchestra sounded much better in the Theater. Maybe it was because I sat front row, and I had a speaker blasting in my face, lol. But I think Christina sounded much better in the performance I saw her. Her "Where Am I Going?" live was much better, and was a lot more emotional than it is on the CD. She was full of tears, and you could just hear the emotion in her voice when I saw her.

Thanks, Tinytoon. I live on the West Coast, so it may take a while longer...
But after hearing snipets of the recording and seeing the show, I do agree that the orchestra sounded amazing live. It was one of the stronger points of the production.
The orchestra is great here and in the theatre. I like Christina's performance better on CD than I did in the theatre.
ok, TRACK 5 rocks! [Rich Man's Frug]
And Christina's voice is much better on the CD
I'll definitley be posting a review! Ive been waiting to see this show for so long and Im hoping to God that Christina's in it tonight.
MEF. Is it just me - or does Christina go a little flat in "You Should See Yourself" on the CD?
I guess I'm in the minority about her voice sounding better in the theatre. She sang the whole show in tune when I saw her live. And her "Im The Bravest Individual" Reprise was better sung live, and she really belted out the last note.
What day will this CD be in Tower Records? (for $15.99 instead of $20)
Street date is Tuesday July 12, 2005, but rest assured some stores will have it out earlier in the streets of NYC.
*Footlight selling it for $15 + 3.-- for shipping. The cost was about $18.95(?)

Whyd they bump back the release date if its on sale in the theater? I don't get the purpose.
I am sure there was a logical explanation somewhere, but theatres tend to sell OCR prior to street date anyway. I know the date was initially in early June and then got pushed back. CDs and DVDs are constantly having their release dates changed.

Look for it in stores any day now Withoutatrace-- It is going out as soon as they have manufactured enough copies to ship.
They had a July street date but wanted to get it out as soon as possible.
Virgin has them for 13.99 i believe. i saw them yesturday. there was a lot. im tlaking aobut the one in nyc
$13.99? The Virgin Megastore in Times Sqaure or Union Square? Or both? I should really go there after work and check it out.
Damn, I wish Virgin had it when I was there Sunday.
I have a question for some of you. How do you guys feel about the new "The Rhythm of Life"? Personally, I LOVE it. The song actually used to be my least favorite song in the score, and I feel they updated it, keeping most of the original harmonies, and it sounds fabulous. I do think you need to see the scene live to really enjoy the song, it was great.
Looks like I have to order one or have my friend pick it up and mail it to me here in Denver. Virgin Megastore in Denver does not have it. Not till the July 12th release date.
I just finished listening to the recording, and overall I give
it an A. Christina is amazing, the songs were all updated and sound great. The Bonus tracks are very nice too. Run and buy this CD!
In "If They Could See ME Now" does it have the dance music in it or is it the shortend version?
