“Aida with Aaron tveit. Cynthia Erivo and Lea Michele“
Lea Michele as who? An Amneris you’re happy to see have her life destroyed?
Kiss of the Spider Woman with Alan Cumming as Molina. I have a feeling it would go down as one of 'the great' musical performances (whatever that means, but still). The pairing with Steven Pasquale also sounded so perfect. I could take or leave Audra - there are a whole bunch of people that could pull it off so not too fussed.

A revival of Thouroughly Modern Millie would be cool
Also I really want a reimagined tour of Wicked! New sets and costumes would be cool to see.

I would love if Dreamgirls transferred to Broadway. I’d also love a revival of RENT. Just not like the off-broadway dump they revived. I’d love to see the original staging (with actors who understand the material) or the most recent UK tour

Yes Amneris. How would it be destroyed?

I have to agree with this. I’d persoanlly rather like to see someone like Lea Michele in this as I am a fan of hers. I also wonder if someone like Sierra Boggess or Phillipa Soo would be able to play the part"
In what world are Michele, Boggess, and Soo better choices than Mueller? She can act circles around all three of them. They would all give us one dimensional, blandly sung portrayals of Fanny, and none of them are skilled at comedy. I’m still baffled that anyone thinks Lea Michele is a good idea after seeing her lengthy, embarrassing audition on Glee. Boggess is lovely off stage, probably why so many on here adore her, but she is a snooze on. And Soo was in Hamilton, so of course she’s going to be suggested for everything no matter how boring she’d be in it
Being nice at the stage door and on Twitter doesn’t qualify you to play one of the most difficult roles in musical theatre
Mueller is a sensational choice for Funny Girl.

I think Ryan Murphy holds them for Broadway.

With Lea as Amneris, it would be completely understandable why Radames doesn’t want to have sex with her and falls in love with another woman.

I would like to see Bartlett Sher tackle Oklahoma (would have liked to see him tackle Carousel too but oh well...)
I would like to see Steel Pier revived with a completely new book. I love that score but the book is terrible.
I still love the idea of a James Corden led Forum

just adding my vote here -
Damn Yankees & Mame would bring some heavy hitters back to the theaters - Actors and Audiences!

I believe he actually lost the rights. I'm pretty sure I remember an article saying he'd let his option on them fall thru
I'd Damn Yankees is next on Roundabout's list. They just did the concert and that to me means it's being considered (look at She Loves Me and Kiss Me Kate).
I'd love Sher to do anything, but Oklahoma and Oliver! are definitely good choices.
Any of the Into the Woods productions mentioned would be great, but I don't think anyone really wants to see that yet. Maybe in a few years?
Also, let's maybe not cast Lea Michele in anything, but ESPECIALLY not comedic roles. Has anyone ever seen her be funny? Like even in life? Her Fanny would be a cheap drag impersonation of Barbra's (in fact, a drag queen would be more exciting in the role than Michele) and her "My Strongest Suit" would be the make us all fall asleep. Any roles that require an ounce of "quirk" is something Michele isn't suited to do.
"The Unsinkable Molly Brown," the first stage musical I saw (1966 with Jane Powell). My mother and I went together, just a few days before I left for Navy Boot Camp. I have very pleasant memories of that evening. It would be nice to see it again.
I think plenty of shows are ripe for revival or another showing, but when I think “Next Great Broadway Revival,” I think of the opulence of Dolly and the Sher/Lincoln Center revivals. I would love a revival of Urinetown, but in my eyes, it would never really be that huge, breathtaking feeling we’ve gotten with some revivals.
I’d love to see Forum... because the talent pool is huge right now. Corden would be fabulous, but I can think of about 5 names I’d be just as happy with. I’d love to see Kiss of the Spider Woman because it’s a great show and in my mind, it actually isn’t done enough. And Tommy, just because I think it’s time.
Perhaps the one I want the most would be hardest. One of the shows that has left the biggest marks on me was the Hal Prince revival of Show boat from nearly 25 years ago. I was still in elementary school and didn’t pick up on any of themes or nuances of the show, but the music, dance, and visuals stunned me. I honestly don’t know if the show could be revived any better, but I would be happy to just see the production back on stage again.
In re: Urinetown, cast Andrew Rannells as Bobby Strong, they will come.
RE: Cher or Bette Midler as Mame, the role of Mame seems to have aged alongside Angela Lansbury. Mame is in her early thirties and closes the show in her early to mid-forties. It became an "older woman" part because of the association with the show as a grande dame vehicle, but it's actually a younger role than we associate it with- sort of the opposite of Dolly in that way, which has a wider playing range due to Barbra playing it too young.
Jane Krakowski feels right for the musical's Mame; Julie Bowen would be my choice for someone closer to Patrick Dennis's novel version of the character (though I doubt she sings at all).

O yea and add Katrina Lenk as the Spider Woman

It won't happen but I would love to see Xanadu with Jane Krakowski. Maybe a encore's? I just know she would have been wonderful
"And Evita starring Lady Gaga directed by Michael Arden or Rachel Chavkin."
Ten million percent. I'll also second Parade. What a score, and unfortunately very timely.
I was actually thinking about a Show Boat revival last night. Laura Benanti as Julie! And I've been on a Sweet Charity kick lately. I missed the recent Sutton Foster production but as much as I love her she doesn't seem right in the reels I've seen.

I can't believe there's not a production of In The Heights already in the works, with how popular LMM is
I'd also love to see a really interesting, edgy production of Next To Normal. Basically every version of it regionally is the same aesthetic, give me something new.
In terms of older, great, lush and ambitious revivals, Funny Girl, Into the Woods (God I would love to see Chavkin do it) EVITA.
They're always welcome to put Great Comet back on stage but reasonably we gotta wait a decade.
I am definitely in the camp that would LOVE Sher & Lincoln Center to do Funny Girl with Jessie Mueller. I think that Ashley Park could also do a great job at Fanny.
