TP, I have read they are working on the volume issue. I guess the problem is on the side of the theatre. Where the speakers are placed. So I guess they should pass out earplugs. For those with sensitive ears.
Hi Joe5, just have a suggestion for we "Passing Strangers". Let's everyone TRY to post LOVE of this show ONLY on the "Official Passing Strangers Love Thread"? Can your prior thread be melded into the new one, along w/commentaries? There are too many threads, some of which are used for bashing, which is A 0 K w/me, but really should be separate, if possible from the ardent FANS. We're not saying everyone HAS to love the show.......we DO, and would like to communicate w/others on the pleasures and excitement of PS.
Passing Strange’s Daniel Breaker Interviewed by Joel Markowitz
Mar 29 –It’s David Breaker’s first time in a musical, and, thanks to composer/performer Stew, the show is rocking Broadway. “Thanks to Stew’s improvisational style, each show is brand new.” Which explains the ‘Strangeheads’, those ardent fans who keep coming back for more.
Washington audiences remember two-time Helen Hayes nominated actor Daniel Breaker for his zany, high-flying performances as Dromio of Syracuse and Ariel in The Comedy of Errors and The Tempest at the Shakespeare Theatre Company in 2005 and 2006. Now, Daniel Breakers stars as “Youth” in the critically acclaimed new Broadway musical Passing Strange at The Belasco Theatre.
Daniel sits down with Joel Markowitz in his dressing room before the Saturday 8 PM performance to discuss the evolution of Passing Strange from its first workshop at Sundance Theater Lab, where he created the role, playing the lead in a new Broadway musical, and his experiences in Washington.
I like all the suggestions so far. I only used Strangeheads, after reading and listening to the Podcast. Which I wish everyone does and responds with comments. Joel is a great supporter of the show. And he is trying to spread the real.) Updated On: 4/8/08 at 02:56 PM
The word-of-mouth is the most powerful tool for any show, esp. this one, I think. I've heard nothing but positives. People like to see what their friends and families like.
