...might actually be one of the ugliest things I have ever seen.

It'd look infinitely better without random floating Cheno face.
Hm- I did a search on the board before posting and nothing came up. My apologies for the duplicate.
To the tourist trade-it's a roaring 20s[maybe that's where the 20th century comes in] flapper girl ,perhaps it all takes place on a train, but MADCAP ?? Bullets-Yes,This-No.

I mean isn't the show sort of madcap? I mean it's full of eccentric characters and the score contains Comden/Green's zaniest lyrics ever.
These Roundabout "It's about..." taglines get more and more embarrassing.
So not only is it terrible, it's a clear ripoff?
Great find morosco!!! It's a near duplicate!!! Obviously ripped off from that Modiano poster!
Yes, but the Twentieth Century artwork is original because there's no cigarette!
I hope Roundabout didn't pay real money for this thing.

Oh, ugh. It is a one woman show with a train, right?
Please let them send a cease and desist so they have to change it!

It's a double shame as the original poster is one of the most beautiful, ever.

Kristin looks...different now compared to the poster.
It was clearly more than inspiration. The silhouette is nearly in the exact same pose. The original even did it better because the photograph of the woman looks much better straight on than it does to the side in the 20th Century artwork.
It's a very quick and cheap redo of the artwork.
And the original artwork is truly fantastic. I bought the album on vinyl simply for the art, before I even knew the show.

Why does she have caramel melting down over her forehead?
Looks a little like Kirstin Dunstable to me
JoeKv99-
The original really IS striking.
The revival Cheno poster leaves a lot to be desired, it reminds me of the blue LuPone GYPSY poster when it eventually made its way to the St James. The photo they used was a snapshot from ENCORES! (or was it from the Ravinia Festival?) Anyway, cheap, cheap and badly photoshopped.
I love Lucy--that was so funny--good spot !
So has anyone noticed the red lettering at the top spells out "It's about....you?"
I hadn't noticed that allofmylife, but now that you pointed it out I can't stop being annoyed about it. It doesn't make any sense!
The original is one of my top 5 faves in terms of poster art.
And on the LP the silver was shiny.
"It's About You" is Roundabout's new slogan, as of last season.
