re: The Search for Elle THOUGHTS!

Again.

EMMA'S DAD IS JERRY ZAKS.

Obviously the judges are keeping that in mind.

I don't like any except one of the brown haired girls.

Oh... EMMA is Jerry Zaks' daughter? I thought it was someone else. Why hasn't Jerry filled her in on that terrible voice/acting ability/overall EVERYTHING?

O.T: I really want to see this Playboy bunny movie. DON'T judge me.

This movie thats on commercial looks relatively entertaining.

re: The Search for Elle THOUGHTS!

The writer's comments are getting on my nerves. "Her goofiness wasn't Elle." She's going into a track, it's not like they can't direct that out of her. They should be more concerned with who's going to be able to hit that last note a year from now.

I don't understand people's obsession with Rachel. She had pitch problems and no energy. I don't think anyone should imitate LBB but when she does this song she moves and has energy and acts happy and excited... These girls basically show no emotion compared to that.

I'm appalled at how UNprofessional this show is so far. Where is the vocal trainer to be a judge because it sounds like none of the judges have any sort of real knowledge when it comes to singing.

re: The Search for Elle THOUGHTS!

Why are they all so bad? There are so many talented performers in the city! Find someone who can stay on pitch!

Also - I'm all for giving a young girl their big break, but LBB is in her early 30's (I believe), and they're looking at 19 year olds who have never been in the city before? That's a huge role requiring a lot of stamina. LBB couldn't even really do it - and she had a B'way track record...

It looks SO funny! I've seen the trailer a bunch of times and it always make me laugh out loud.

Libby's quite good. Hope she goes through!

I am a little perplexed by the age thing to. The character is at minimum 21, and by the end of the show closer to 25/26. They probably could've cast the age net a little wider.

re: The Search for Elle THOUGHTS!

These girls are WAY too young to handle the stress and work of this job.

Glad to see that all their talent is "profoundly real". Wish I agreed. I must know NOTHING about theater.

So? I think some of them still look young enough. No one looks too too old.

"OT - this movie with the bunny thing looks awful."

And it has a fairly "namey" cast. They're not "stars" but they're names people know:

Anna Faris
Colin Hanks
Katharine McPhee
Beverly D'Angelo
Emma Stone
Rumer Willis

WHAT?! From that Youtube video, Libby was one of the best, IMHO.

If there were seven left wouldn't there only be two slots? Nice math Bernie!
You must think I'm still sixteen. I dropped out of high school for a reason. And I don't care if you're pretty. I'm not admitting you are right. My soul is not a stage. I won't pretend I'm anything I'm not

re: The Search for Elle THOUGHTS!

Yeah, and I'm confused why you were even cast to begin with.

Haha. They have to like do the math for these girls.

Well, it's on MTV.

Yeah, but LBB has had years to get comfortable with the performance and these girls are performing it for the first time.

OT - I actually didn't notice it was Anna, and would see it for her, but other than that- not impressed. :X

re: The Search for Elle THOUGHTS!

We're not talking about looking young enough. We're talking about the fact that an 18 year old, never lived in NYC, never did a professional production or a long run - they just can't handle this. Period.
