I don't know if this has been posted yet or not so forgive me if this is redundant. I have been reading this thread all season but never signed up but just joined so I could share this with all of you. Again, if it's redundant, I'm sorry.

There's a great article confirming some of the stuff people have been speculating about all season long (like people joining the tour and playing understudies and such). I'm really excited for all the girls, the top 4 all got something out of this. Just read it here:

http://www.theatermania.com/content/news.cfm/story/13642

Again, sorry if it's redundant. (Ok, not I'M being redundant, sorry!) Hope you guys enjoy this.

I was an Autumn fan but am SO proud of Bailey, she came a long way, and it looks like Autumn is getting something out of this as well. Break a leg to both!

I think something else that counted against Autumn was her complete fluster at having to answer the question "How do you feel about being a sorority girl?" Her fake smile and hesitation when she tried to answer again ("Uh, heh heh, I think it's GREAT! heh heh...") showed that, hello, NOT a great actress. And I don't think you can portray Elle all that well if you have that kind of disdain for sorority girls.

Please, Autumn is clearly the better actress. Autumn is natural, while Bailey is a CLOWN. They obviously went with looks when choosing Elle, not acting or singing ability. If they went for the latter, Autumn would have won, hands down.

I wonder if Christian Borle will call in sick for the next two weeks??? lol

I would assume he does not support the reality series casting since he chose not to participate in the show.

i wouldn't be surprised.

and it wouldn't be bad thing either... he looks a LOT older than Bailey.

Perhaps Autumnn is the superior actress when she's performing from a script, but when it comes to professional spontaneity, she's made it obvious that she's easily thrown. She couldn't act professionally tonight for love nor money. She squealed her head off right onstage after every performance she gave. She was completely thrown with that question about playing a sorority girl, and had no pretense of not being totally pissed off when the announcement was made.

And Bailey has more fans on IAmOnMTV.com than Lauren. A difference of about 1600.

I'm referring the votes on Legallyblondethemusical.com. Lauren was WAY ahead.

Oh, I knew that. It was Bailey for a while, then Lauren, then after Lauren was eliminated it was Bailey again.

I actually loved Bailey tonight. The only thing Autumn can do better than Bailey is sing. I think Bailey outshone her in the acting, dancing and plain old charisma department tonight.

Yeah funny how when they take away all your votes someone else can win.

And what does not acting pissed when you lose a role on broadway to a horrible actress have to do with being a great actress? Autumn is better, you just don't want to come out of you whiny Bailey centered world to see that. Bailey is a clown whe she acts, Autumn is natural, and not acting pissed has nothing to do with this.

If Bailey is so awful, why would the director and choreographer of the show choose her?

I agree...Broadway professionals chose her, not America.

These same "Broadway professionals" so to speak said that Rhiannon didn't have the vocal chops to play Elle, yet she is an Elle understudy on tour, that Lauren looked too young to play Elle, yet she is the first Elle understudy on tour, and that they didn't see Autumn as Elle Woods, yet she too, will be playing Elle Woods when Bailey needs to take a day off because she has never had this experience before. So that was not exactly a valid argument.

Also, these same "professionals" cast Jason Gillman as a Warner understudy, which makes no sense seeing as he is not even a little bit "hunky" and is way too old, and Gaelen as Vivienne understudy, who also looks too old, Andy Karl as Callahan understudy, who I hear did a PHENOMENAL job, but as people have pointed out before, who would resist being kissed by someone as hott as Andy Karl? Granted, they're all understudies, but on the days the leads call out, people are still paying 100 dollars plus to see a show where at least the actors don't look like they could be the character's mom or dad, or in Andy's case, son.

I'm sorry, but I just watched the full auditions, and Bailey was a lot better than Autumn.

And I also watched her recording the single and she hit those notes just fine.

No, that's not my point at all. My point is that even the professionals aren't always correct in their decisions. I for one, hope she proves me wrong and think she does have potential, I was just making a point that your argument about them being professionals, therefore not making a mistake in casting, was not correct.

It really gets me pissed that they pointed out that Lauren was to young & Rhinnion couldn't sing the role, when they were in the FINAL FOUR. It seems you could have given them the boot before they made it to the finals.

No I never said that. I was just agreeing that this time Broadway professionals chose instead of the American public, so people really can't complain as much.

But see, that's where you're wrong. People CAN and WILL complain reguardless of who chose the winner.
