There was an understudy rehearsal recently, per the Instagram's of Rua and Andrew Chappelle. That's a step towards the public ever seeing The Rualton. In an article from last month, Munoz stated that the other understudy hadn't been rehearsed yet (it was a question about what's the hardest part of being a stand by, I believe), so "he was it." Things obviously may have changed, especially if they knew people were sick or the like.
Whoever goes on, the show will be firing on all cylinders. As usual.
Anyone know who went on today?

Israeli President Reuven Rivlin
Lin went on.
I was thinking today how Lin said in an interview how his two favorite songs in Hamilton are both sung by Aaron Burr (Wait for It and The Room Where It Happens). Wouldn't it be great for Lin to play Aaron Burr and Leslie Odom Jr. to play Hamilton? Kind of like in the National Theatre's production of Frankenstein how Benedict Cumberbatch and Jonny Lee Miller switch roles, and each brings his own spin.
I don't think Lin could sing Burr nearly as well as Leslie, nor do I think Leslie could rap Hamilton nearly as well as Lin.

Would any of you kind New Yorkers fancy seeing if there are any Box Seats available for me - 24 - 28 Feb?
I'm in the UK annoyingly!
Highly unlikely only 2 month previous. But what good does it do for someone to check for you, you can only purchase them in person.

Well the kind person could purchase them for me in person for a little personal gain/thanks. Just a thought - community and all that.
I asked a friend in mid-October to check for early December box seats and I was able to get two, so it was possible at that time at less than two months in advance. I had to be able to commit on the spot, no time to think about it. Good luck!

Levinb, President Rivlin? NOW we're talking diversity.
Jon Rua will be making his Hamilton debut this afternoon, per Javier's Twitter.
Exciting. But why isn't Lin going on instead?

Correct me if I'm wrong but if an actor has a set alternate, he isn't require to step in if the alternate isn't available. Last week was probably a courtesy as Jon may not have been ready yet.
That said, based on his recent tweets Lin seems to also be sick.

If what I read on another thread is true, it seems Leslie Odom Jr. will be out for the date I'm going. While I'm a bit disappointed simply because I was really looking forward to his performance, I realize that can happen, and I'm looking forward to seeing whomever plays the role as I'm very excited for the show overall. Does anyone know who the understudy is for Burr? I'm just curious who I may be seeing if Odom is indeed out. Thanks!
Sydney James Harcourt, Austin Smith, and Andrew Chappelle all understudy Burr.

Thanks, LizzieCurry! I should've realized there'd be a Playbill page. Appreciate the help!

I hope someone on this board was there and will share their impressions of Jon Rua as Hamilton. I'm always excited for understudies or swings to go on.

Cannot wait to hear back!
does anyone have a link to the 10 minute b-roll? PM me if you do! (I've looked through the thread and whoever posted it took it down. I think.)
TIA

Sydney James Harcourt is the only understudy to have gone on for Burr, and he was great!
I'm sorry you will miss Leslie but I don't think it will spoil your enjoyment of the show at all.
Anyone else notice that Dear Theodosia sounds exactly like Hey there Delilah?

I'd love to see Sydney James Harcourt as Burr. I saw him last month on for Chris as Washington and he was really wonderful!

Both are in English and sung by men. Otherwise nothing is exactly the same or even close.
