These are some very educated guesses.

^ They're between Osnes and Finneran.
Can we take a break from the Tonys? Just a little break? I'm exhausted.
Let's see---predicting before the shows open---that is why we are all talking about Elena Rogers, Best Actress for Evita!
Hm...there's a good chance at least a couple of those shows won't make it to Broadway since that happens every year. There will likely be other musicals that open that still haven't been announced, and at least some casting changes are sure to shake things up. Not to mention none of the likely noms are even in shows that have opened.
Other than that, everything looks right.
Is Chita playing the lead in EDWIN DROOD?
PS: Why aren't they bringing her in in THE VISIT instead?
PPS: Enough with the Tony Awards!
It would seem so perfect/prestigious for the Roundabout to open a new Kander and Ebb Musical with Chita starring.....wish that happened instead
.
The Roundabout doesn't know what the words perfect and prestigious mean, though, unless Sondheim calls them and suggests a production from overseas to bring over.
Ummmmm yep. I hope the girl who plays Annie wins. I wanna see a twelve year old get a tony :3
Hey, she could be great. Andrea McArdle was good thirty some-odd years ago. Then again, Dorothy Loudon was better. And with Finneran as Hannigan...well, enough said.

my vote goes to Carolee Carmello for Scandalous. i have heard good things about her in this show!
My vote goes to nothing Kathie Lee Gifford is involved with. Can't we, like, I dunno, SEE the people onstage in action BEFORE we pick who should win or even be nominated?
And I'm justing giving fair warning, God forbid Kathie Lee Gifford wins Best Score, you will not hear the end of it from me. Especially when she thanks "her lord and savior, Jesus Christ." (I'm shuttering at the thought.)

Musto based his assumption on the fact that Cleo Laine was nominated as Best Actress for the same role in the original production. We don't know for sure what category she will be eligible for as we don't know how she will be billed and/or petitioned to be considered.

....the Matilda girls. I've heard great things about this show.
NOTHING OPENED YET! STOP PREDICTING!
See, when you start making a list of something and have to fill it with abstract "person who plays..." instead of actual tangible human beings -- perhaps it's time to look for another column idea for the week. Even so, I think Woman Who Plays Betty Boop is a shoo-in for the 2015 Best Actress in a Musical Tony.

"Liza's at the Palace...! 2" will win Best Special Event in seven years when that category gets reinstated, competing against Kathy Griffin's one-woman show, "Rewriting History: An Evening of Idiocy with Michele Bachmann."
Hey, those are pretty good ideas! Call a producer!

Let's not encourage Matilda and Annie, shall we?
