Lizzie- 2010 is only 3 years away, though.
I kind of see Phantom closing.

Posted: 6/14/09 at 7:02amWow...a lot of these people's predictions were wrong 3 years ago. Everyone seemed to think that Beauty and the Beast, Hairspray, and Spamalot would still be open. I wonder how many current shows will last until 2012 (3 years).

Lord, I hate when people bump up posts from years back.
Do you know how many people you're gonna confuse now?
This thread: FAIL.

THIS time I totally disagree about bumping the thread. I think it was rather like opening a time capsule!!!
So thanks for bumping!!!

I agree!
It makes me sad reading 'Beauty and The Beast' though as I feel it should indeed still be open.

Posted: 6/14/09 at 12:49pm^ Broadway122 - Young Frankenstein had a pedigree for success. A star-studded cast, based on a Mel Brooks property, reuniting most of the original creative team. Everyone anticipated another hit...and were wrong.

hmmm that's interesting thanks husk_charmer I didn't know that little tidbit. It's too bad it didn't live up to it's potential that many people anticipated

I'm kind of suprised at all of the Poppins love, as I still love this, and agree with many that it's the best currently running Disney musical. Then again, it was pretty favored when it first came to Broadway... then came Spring...
