The play that goes wrong is Broadway's longest running play??

The Play That Goes Wrong only opened in March of this year. That would mean about a 6 month long run. The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nighttime (a Broadway play from a couple of years ago) was on Broadway for almost 2 years. Is this just really lazy, inaccurate reporting or am I missing something here?

I'm assuming the stress was on currently, and as CorkySt.Clair said, it probably meant out of the four that are currently running. They should have made it clearer though.

Jesus Christ, people. It's right there is the BWW headline. It's also in the first sentence of the article. How much more obvious can it be?

Its quite misleading. It doesn't say its the longest running of the currently running shows....it definitely tries to imply that in this moment, it is the longest running play.



It's a ridiculous announcement.

Given the current times, it neither surprises me nor disappoints me that this play (which I personally loved) has run longer than the more serious plays. Plays like Oslo, Indecent, DHP2, etc. had a very important place on Broadway but sometimes you just need silly. TPTGW came in at an ideal time and is benefitting from that.
