This Year's NBC Musical...

Booooo!!! I was hoping for something more exciting.
If anyone ever tells you that you put too much Parmesan cheese on your pasta, stop talking to them. You don't need that kind of negativity in your life.

This Year's NBC Musical...

I can see it now. A live musical performed without a studio audience that has audience participation.

"...everyone finally shut up, and the audience could enjoy the beginning of the Anatevka Pogram in peace."

"They want a male"

Ugh, then they are going to cast a young male who's a big name that I don't like at all. Great women have played this part. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

I've always found the one with Mary Martin one creepy. Maybe a menopausal woman playing a (very very fey) little boy worked better on stage.

As much as I hate Beiber, I think he might be able to pull it off but he also has alienated so many people. Not that he would want to do it. I certainly don't want him to do it - I really can't think of any young male who would be a big draw. How young do think he would have to be?

I'm hoping they are making safe, boring (IMO) choices so they can build trust with the network and down the line take some risky actions. I get the line of thought here but boy does Peter Pan sound like a snoozefest. Esp. without an audience!

Bieber as Peter Pan. I actually might happen. of course being the a$$hole that he his, I could see him not showing up for the actually live performance, or being 4 hours late and having NBC forced to air it at midnight.

Is it written in stone there won't be an audience? Not even a small one with children in it.

Please hire Kathleen Marshall to direct and choreograph this one. I don't want to see the Indians presenting Ashfordesque kick choreography.

To whoever suggested Chris Colfer as Peter - There's a special place in hell for people who make suggestions like that.

But Patti could do it with her recent boyish haircut. They could call it PATTI PETER.

This Year's NBC Musical...

boo. How boring. We have several LIVE versions of this already. I would have preferred Cinderella over this. BIG pass.

Oh, please. You and everyone else who will says "Ugh! Pass!" knows you'll be watching it and live tweeting how much you hate it since you've already made up your mind.

I'd be happy if Daniel Huttlestone played Peter. He's already a star in the rising.

This Year's NBC Musical...

Amy Poehler as Peter Pan! You know she'd kill it.
Boring choice, yes, but people were also suggesting CINDERELLA and OLIVER which are both equally boring choices. And yes, please find a role for Laura Benanti in this.
"Some people can thrive and bloom living life in a living room, that's perfect for some people of one hundred and five. But I at least gotta try, when I think of all the sights that I gotta see, all the places I gotta play, all the things that I gotta be at"
