I just have to say. I have just returned from my third time seeing THOUGHTS OF A COLORED MAN. DaVinchi was out today so I had a chance to see the understudy BJORN DU PATTY who was FAB as Lust.
The entire show was just as thrilling as it has always been. I hope the continue to get the community support.
I also saw Ayoona Prescott tweet about the show AMAZING! Cuz, she is right. And now today they were on Wendy Williams. For a play, they are spending a bucket load on press! Just me?
Anyone have thoughts on this?

This is the only show I've seen this season that Ive thought about a on a daily basis. It's so powerful, the writing is brilliant and every actor brings a different energy to the stage. I love, love, love this show and I can't wait to go back and watch it again. The diverse audience makes it a richer experience as well.

Big ups from me as well. That one light cue still haunts me. And imagine seeing this show and not falling in love with Dyllon Burnside. Couldn't be me.

All the men were attractive, Dyllón was the only one who wasn't really impressive in his acting ability.

Fantastic appearance on Wendy last week (guest co-host Sherri Shepherd):

I'm buying tix for January. Thinking that a matinee will offer better variety of tickets and feel safer w/COVID. Wish would be better in orchestra--back row or middle on the side? Is mezzanine better than side orch?

This is such a brilliant show, I've gone back 4 times. Each time, I sat pretty close to the stage as seeing their faces is really important with this particular show. Enjoy it!

That's disappointing to hear. For the four of us that saw that Tupac show, Dyllón was a total standout that stayed on my radar through to Pose.
I happen to win the ticket lottery for the matinee tomorrow (first try!) so I'm otherwise looking forward to loving the show.

Any info about a rush line?
IS there one? How early? Seat location(s)?

Nope, just a digital lottery. Since it's always been packed each time Ive seen it, I don't know where they are putting lottery winners.

They don't advertise a rush, but they actually do have one - or at least they did when I saw the show back in October.
I walked up to the box office around 5pm on a Saturday night, and got a $39 rush ticket. It was the rear orchestra all the way off to the side. The seat itself was a bit claustrophobic but the view was just fine.

Oh, that's interesting that they have one but didn't make that public or known anywhere. Thanks for the info, J. Although the seat sounds pretty terrible.

The fact that the show is attempting to play through March feels completely delusional, based on what we've heard of the small houses and low grosses...how on earth is this staying afloat?

I mean, shows aren’t exactly lining up to fill theatres right now because of the financial risk and I’m assuming that this production is relatively cheap to run.
Better to have a theatre with low performer than an empty theatre in these times.
Plus, small audience = more social distance!

How so? People choose specific seats -- usually as close to the stage as possible. Do you think the ushers are going to move people in the 3rd row back to the 15th row so they are "socially distanced"?

Really interesting. I have seen this how 4 times, and each time the houses have been full. Was just at Company yesterday and the line for this show was around the corner.
They seem to be doing fine, Being a show not eligible for SVOG I think it is amazing what they are doing. Clearly well enough to replace actors.

The show is doing great actually and will run through March. It's funny how people are SHOCKED at that happening. It's a great show. Period.

I'm still considering tix for January. Are there any obstructed views? I'm thinking about a middle seat on the side orchestra.

That's a great choice, Gail. Enjoy the show!

Most, if not all, the action takes place center stage. There’s really not a bad sight line to be found.
