Posted: 5/1/10 at 11:11pmOn the 11:00 news, NBC reported that, in the back seat, there were 3 propane tanks, black powder and some sort of timing device. They said it wasn't clear if it was set to go off. Pretty scary stuff!

NBC just confirmed it to be "a homemade explosive device that may or may not have actually worked."
They've also widened the perimeter.
Oddly enough, NBC is not going to continue following the story, but it going to SNL on time.

Reuters got a rogue firefighter to give them the info, without FDNY authorization:
The SUV that triggered the evacuation of Times Square on Saturday night contained explosives, gasoline, propane and burned wires, a New York firefighter told Reuters.
