Timothee Chalamet posted that he was at MTC offices / in a rehearsal room on his Instagram story. Of course it be completely inconspicuous, but any idea if it’s related to a larger production? Could we finally be getting 4,000 MILES on Broadway?

The next image on this Story showed him with a guitar case, so there's probably a decent chance he's doing vocal training or music rehearsals there for A Complete Unknown.

Ah - that makes sense.

I do very much hope for a return of TImothee to the stage. I had hoped he would have something ie 4000 miles after the reopening and his finishing of Dune 2. My guess is he might be another 2 years before he has time

Yeah, MTC does a big rental business for their studio spaces, and it's smaller & more private than someplace huge like New 42 or Open Jar or Ripley.

I guess y’all miss the press release months ago - he’s currently prepping for a biopic on Bob Dylan (yes, he’s playing Bob Dylan).

Totally off topic but it suddenly came to my mind:
do we think NYC still has a chance to get a transfer of
a german life (maggie smith)

I would say the chances are very low mainly because of Maggie Smith's age. I wish they had filmed it like Angela Lansbury's Driving Miss Daisy. It's quite remarkable to watch these older legends still showing us all how it's done. I assume everyone has seen it but if you haven't, do check out Glenda Jackson's BAFTA-winning performance in the "Elizabeth Is Missing" TV film as it's another example of an older legend wowing. Maybe someone can make a TV film of A German Life for Maggie Smith.

In 2020, it was announced that Christopher Hampton had written a screen adaptation of A GERMAN LIFE, which Smith would star in with Jonathan Kent directing. But there's been radio silence since then, and a studio/financier was never announced.
In 2019, it was reported that Maggie Smith had no interest in bringing A GERMAN LIFE to New York and that the London run would likely be her final stage role.

Yes, that’s mentioned in post #2.

Forgive Brody, he was in his usual rush to be a condescending know it all.

I realize that the post was quite likely his work on the Bob Dylan film but I actually think it would be incredible if He join with Maggie Smith to do 4000 miles in New York. What a great pairing
