So, just a quick question, but does Tobias in Sweeney need to be short? I'm contemplating going to an audition tomorrow, but I'm on the taller side (6'1-ish), so not sure if it's even worth the trouble.
It really depends on the production. Tobias is an innocent and simple character, which often translates to casting a smaller or younger actor. It doesn't have to go that way. If you want the part and you think you can handle the demands of the character, you might as well go for it.
The audition was today... I was there too. Didn't notice if rippedman was there, but the guys there were a lot of different shapes/sizes. It was an open call specifically for the role of Toby.
