For all the complaining that goes on from time to time I thought I would post some high praise for something very Broadway related: Triton Gallery- aside from being extremely easy to work with over the phone and in person, Ron & Roger especially are willing to do almost anything to help you out.
When I was NYC two weeks ago I stopped in. They had a mint condition My Favorite Year which they sold to me for $25. While I was there I asked them if they had ever seen a Rex Window Card-another guilty flop pleasure of mine. They didn't have one in stock but told me they would track a copy down and make me a repo- today it arrived in the mail and is AMAZING! With the color scheme it looks great under the OBC Company Window Card.
If you have never shopped with them and are looking for something hard to find- give them a try- I've never had a bad experience!

I totally agree. Triton has consistently delivered quality products at surprisingly affordable prices. Too bad it was ousted from its 45th Street location across from the (now) Hirschfeld Theate.

I ADORE those guys, I have had nothing but wonderful experiences in all my dealings with them! And ps, they play FABULOUS music in there!
Can't say enough great things about Triton!!
Adding to the praise for this place, I recently needed some historical info regarding rights to a historic windowcard. They called me back and were very helpful, knowing full well that doing so wouldn't result in a sale of anything. They just care.
People who just love what the do are the best. These guys, therefore, are the best.
This place seems lovely. I may have to drop by when I'm in the city next.
Such a fan. I can't tell you how many things I've had framed there, and nothing has ever been anything less than perfect. THere have even been times when I thought a certain frame would go well with a windowcard, but they've talked me out of it and steered me towards the definite right idea.
I haven't been in years, but they were always really great when I used to frequent the store. I needed something kind of obscure on super short notice once, called them on the phone, had them pull it for me and was able to pick it up like half an hour later.
I live across the country, but I've had nothing but great experiences with them. I usually order three to four posters at a time. For one order I did, I ordered two of the same poster (one for me, one for my sister). They only shipped one though. I double checked my order and I did order two. I sent them a quick email, and they apologized and rushed out another one to me the next day, free of the extra shipping charge. Great guys!
I can't wait to deal with them again (I got my next four posters already picked out).
So embarrassing, I tried to find this place when I was in NYC and literally couldn't find it.
No need to be embarrassed - I had some trouble too. I guess I was expecting a storefront, but you have to go into an office building, sign in, and go up to the store. Definitely check it out the next time you get to NYC!
So what is the actual address?
Edit: Found it. 630 9th Ave. Suite 808
I've ordered quite a few frames and a few windowcards from this company, and have had a good experience every time. My order even went through twice by accident (thanks to an internet glitch) and they called me to make sure that it wasn't an accurate order. Not to mention the frames (although a little pricey) are VERY nice and of great quality. I buy cheaper frames for my 'typical' windowcards, but my signed ones get the Triton Gallery frames.
I just got my "The Red Shoes" repo- another fantastic Window Card- it looks amazing!
I was just there last Friday. I bought a few windowcards and enjoyed browsing through all the others.
It's a must see place everytime I'm in the city.
They are wonderful. I only buy Window Cards from Triton.

I do the same. They are the place to go for Theatre window card for yesterday, today and tomorrow.
Triton's updated website
For all the services they've performed for theater fans, the Shuberts and Nederlanders and Jujamcyns should give them a storefront right on Times Square and treat them like the Official Broadway Museum Gift Shop.
Had my very tattered 1971 FOLLIES poster 24 x 36 lovingly framed and matted here, and it looks absolutely fantabulous. Roger is the best! Perfection! And the Film Center Bldg, where they are now located ain't too shabby either One of the premier Art Deco bldgs in NY That lobby is just scrumptious.
I pass by it almost every day and haven't been in. Maybe because iI know I may spend too much money!
Thanks for the heads up! What a wonderful shop and inspiration resource!
I tried once to get to the store, I went in, signed in, went in the elevator to the second floor, but it was so empty I assumed a murderer was not far behind. Any recommendations on how to get up to the store?
Next time try once you get to the store, go in, sign in, and take the elevator to the EIGHTH floor where the store actually is.
They are also big supporters of Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS... if you need something else to praise them on :)
If you ever need anything simply call- Roger can get you almost anything you are looking for and will take extremely good care of you- he and Ron do an excellent job- truly Triton & the two of them are treasures of the Broadway Theater Community- I make the trip up to the 8th Floor of the Film Center every time I go to the city- well worth the trip! They are also great with phone & internet orders- my wife and family all place a few orders for me each year at Christmas and for my birthday and they always deliver the goods on time and in perfect condition!
