They lost me at Best play: The Realistic Joneses and Best musical: The Last Ship.
Best Play and Musical are somewhat surprising to me.

T each their own, I guess- I thought Elephant Man was basically sterile- and did not move me or any of the other four people I saw it with- he acting was good- but all in all- not worth seeing. I loved Beautiful- did not find it hokey at all. I probably do not agree with this reviewer since the plays I have seen that I really enjoyed are not on this list.

This could potentially be another marketing tool for The Last Ship.
I haven't seen The Last Ship, but I agree regarding On The Town being the best revival.
From what I've seen. No problems with anything except Best Play. That Realistic Joneses play was a bore. However, Eno's Open House at Signature was terrific and deserved the recognition.
Glad Last Ship is getting some due respect. No qualms here about it being best musical this year.
Bizarre but, you're joking.
