I just got Giant, Dogfight and Murder Ballad.
I have listened to Murder Ballad and listened to Giant this morning. Murder Ballad sounds great, and Giant sounds gorgeous, very rich!
Can't wait for Pippin
I think I read somewhere that Here Lies Love will be getting a cast recording.
Does anyone have any news about whether or not "F#%king Up Everything" will be getting a cast recording? Are they taking pre-orders at the merch booth or anything?
Fatboy Slim and David Byrne’s Musical Here Lies Love to Release Cast Recording
ANNIE 'street date' is now June 18, although it's on sale now at the Palace theatre.
The Murder Ballad cast recording is fantastic.
I also heard they're doing a Broadway version of 'Matilda' but haven't heard about them going into the studio, signing with a company, etc. Has anyone heard anything?
For my tastes, the one, missing "official" release is Dogfight.
Although many (including me) own the "unofficial" recording, its official release date isn't until June.
Still, an amazing score to own.
@MaddieBB12 I think it's at the theatre already. That's how people have it.
@John Adams Dogfight was released digitally. How is that not official?
I got an email from Carolee a few days ago and she mentioned that an announcement on SCANDALOUS will come within two weeks.

In a Broadway.com video I watched featuring Carolee, she kept waving around a Scandalous CD that looked a lot like a cast recording. Not positive as to exactly what it was but she looked like she was hinting at something.

The MURDER BALLAD recording isn't out yet. How have you guys gotten it already?
It's being sold at the theater.
SONUVA! I guess that gives me a reason to go sooner rather than later. Although I'm not jazzed about the bad sound reports.
Also how much is it at the theatre? It's only going to be $8.99 on Amazon.

My bad...
I often get confused regarding pre-order, advance listens, digital, and CD releases. I should probably just completely stop using the word "official". The CD release is June 4.
PS:
Does anyone else think the score for Dogfight sounds very reminiscent of Adam Guettel's Floyd Collins?

@MaddieBB12 I really hope there is a broadway cast recording! As much as I love the London recording, I would love them to release a new one with this cast and changes.
Not Broadway...but the recording of the John Mellencamp / Stephen King musical "Ghost Brothers of Darkland County" is released on June 4.
I heard the show was kind of a mess but I'm interested in hearing the score.
I also haven't heard a single word about the BARE: THE MUSICAL cast recording since they announced they were making one back when they announced their off-Broadway closing. Think it's still happening?
