I never expected it to transfer but enjoyed it more than "A Bronx Tale" which will end up raking in the tourists' bucks for a while.
Will it, though? I don't see much commercial success for Bronx Tale, and if it achieves any glimmer of it, it'll be with the Jersey market, not tourists.
DeNiro's name being attached will attract the bridge and tunnel crowd for sure but tourists will also flock to this the same way they did to Jersey Boys.
Here we go again...

Genuinely surprised by that actually.
Did his Hamilton clout make this happen? Haven't heard much good (sans shills) about it and sounds like a touch sell.
Dammit, I guess Laura and Corey can't be Anna and Hans for Frozen then. Happy for them and the show though!
They set an opening night but not a theatre?
I still think this will fall through.
The Cort? The Lyceum? If they had a REALLY short preview period they might be able to sneak into The Barrymore after THE PRESENT closes.
Six Degrees of Separation announced they have the Barrymore after The Present. My guess is probably the Cort.

LesWickedly, I agree. Kad, I wonder if they may have a Shubert theater that hasn't announced the closing date of its current tenant. Something like the Jacobs?

Okay...so which theater?

My guess is that The Color Purple will announce its closing within the coming weeks and Bandstand will take the Jacobs. I could also see this taking the Cort Theatre.

I completely forgot that THE COLOR PURPLE will probably close after the new year. You're right, The Jacobs seems like the safe bet.

Shocked this is actually happening...
I'm genuinely shocked by this. Maybe all those people (or person) who get bringing it up here's work finally paid off

It is the Jacobs.
I hope Cott removes his shirt in this.

Looks like it was already mentioned, but my thinking was BS had its eyes on the Jacobs as well.
Are they missing the tony cut-off date? Or just barely?

Just barely, the cut-off date is April 27 (the day after they are supposedly opening)

I also imagine it will take the Jacobs. Seems like the timing will work out if COLOR PURPLE does end up closing late Winter.
I just hope we get a cast recording. The score really is a gem.
