re: VIBRATO!!!!!!

Lea Michele has one.

And, yes, what exactly does this thread mean? Uncontrolled vibrato? Really good vibrato? Uses vibrato a lot?

Don't confuse using a lot of vibrato with a bad vibrato. For instance, I love vibrato and in classical you have to use it a lot more, but I can't stand Raul Esparza's.

re: VIBRATO!!!!!!

I'd agree with the poster that said Laura Benanti. Listen to The Wedding Singer...

Leigh Ann Larkin for sure. If Mamma Was Married is out of control..

I knew Raul would feature prominently on this thread. Deservedly. I'm quite fond of it, though.

re: VIBRATO!!!!!!

I love Sarah Brightman and she is the queen of vibrato. As a nasty queen said to me one night, "I hate that British skank. You could drive a Mack truck through her vibrato." I love Raul, but I do not care at all for his vibrato, it sounds very goat-like to me.

re: VIBRATO!!!!!!

There's a recording on Raul's website of him singing with Carolee Carmello and Marin Mazie. It's kind of epic.

Dorothy Loudon had an incredible and unique vibrato. She was an incredible performer and could make anyone laugh.

I'm like Seth Rudetsky. I love the sound of vibrato.
