Posted: 8/4/14 at 12:56pmLooking for some advice. TDF has both Violet and Bullets over Broadway tix available, and I am wondering which show people prefer. I know it's comparing apples and oranges, but overall, if anyone has seen both, which would you recommend. Thanks in advance!

I found Violet very touching, with great music and great performances by the cast, especially Sutton Foster and Joshua Henry.
I found Bullets overblown and obnoxious (and kind of vulgar) so I say go with Violet.
A little swash, a bit of buckle - you'll love it more than bread.

I haven't seen Bullets-not interested.
I pick Violet. Sutton Foster is lovely as ever, but Joshua Henry, holy crap. I didn't know who he was before I saw it. When he sings his big number, I just kept thinking, "wow," and I'm a tough one to impress. When he finished the whole theater erupted. He is on my radar now, I'll see anything he does.
