I get it. The site needs to make revenue, but the pop up ads on here lately are constant and oppressive. It certainly doesn't make me want to run out and buy a ticket for The Book of Mormon every time that dancing queen pops up while I'm in the middle of reading or posting. I've already had that ad pop up five times tonight and I've only been in here for 20 minutes. Lately it's either that one or that stupid pie commercial from Waitress running on a freaking loop. Anyone else getting bombarded with the pop ups? Sorry. Vent is now over.

Agreed, it is ridiculous how often I get the pop up ads. I've had the BOM one five times and I haven't even been on here for 20 minutes, more like 5 minutes.

It's through the app and has been pretty oppressive for about the past two months. They are video ads and they are popping up like every five minutes.

On mobile, I only get one per page, and once I close it, nothing pops back up again -- thank goodness!
(iPhone 5s/whatever was the previous version of iOS since I haven't updated yet/Safari)

I have an iPhone 6 with the most updated version of the iOS and the pop ups seem to disappear after closing one, but a refresh of navigating between tabs seem to trigger more.

On the mobile site, I only get one ad but it only appears after I've started scrolling down the page and when I exit the ad, I'm automatically redirected to the top of the page

Yesterday on the iPhone app I got the Book of Mormon pop up like every 2 minutes and wanted to scream.

Yes, this. Heavy sigh.
If you wait a while before starting to scroll it pops up when you're still on top and you can avoid being taken back up, but I hardly ever remember...

I only get pop up adds twice a month, I almost never access the site through the desktop site or the app, only the mobile site.
I appoligise for any spelling mistakes. I may be on my mobile. Clumsy fingers and small little touchscreen keys don't mixx. I try to spellcheck, but I may miss something.

I only get that one that pops up in the middle of the page when I first come to the site. Close it and no more pop ups.

This happens to me and I'm on a desktop. It's frustrating.

Me too. I can deal when happens when I first get here and it happens once. But when it reoccurs it's annoying. Sometimes I am typing a post and it happens while I'm typing. And then it goes back to the top and I lost whatever I wrote already. Sometimes I have the patience to retype but sometimes I just leave.
