I think it's a beautiful play and she's really talented, so it could all work out great.

While I'm actually thrilled to get the opportunity to see this and How I Learned to Drive this season, I'm mildly horrified that shows that debuted when I was becoming a regular theatergoer are already being revived. Has it really been 13 and 15 years collectively? Pretty soon I'll just be telling people that the original was vastly superior whether or not it's true just so that I don't feel as bad about aging.

I don't think this show is for a Broadway house. If they are going to revive it, I would rather see it in an intimate theater.

Wait til it starts to feel like the day after the original production closed.

No one else may want to admit it, but I can't be the only person for whom this thread hasn't been the biggest disappointment of their day.

But I guess if they couldn't get him for FROST/NIXON, hoping they'd get him for this is just wishful thinking.

Think it's great, it's a terrific play and Cynthia Nixon could be brilliant.

An okay play about a mean bitch who dies of cancer. Like EVITA, but with John Donne.

A truly great play. Nixon doesn't seem the most inspired choice to me (although Dick Nixon might have been wonderful, myster!), but who knows? She might be great.

Eve Best would have been my first choice.

Move it off-Broadway, find a really inspired director and let Jane Lynch have a go at it.

Why do you keep saying, 'Move it off-Broadway?' I think this play can easily stand the move to Broadway. In fact, I think it should have moved in its original incarnation.

But I do LOVE your suggestion of Jane Lynch.

"Why do you keep saying, 'Move it off-Broadway?'"

Because when the audience for this play is in a large auditorium, the audience just become spectators. An intimate theater brings the audience closer to the action and makes them more participants.

Cynthia Nixon and Kim Cattrall on Broadway at the same time! Now we just need to get Kristin Davis in PORGY AND BESS and Sarah Jessica Parker in WAR HORSE and the set will be complete!

The Samuel Friedman Theatre is only 650 seats and very intimate. It will play just fine there.

"You travel alone because other people are only there to remind you how much that hook hurts that we all bit down on. Wait for that one day we can bite free and get back out there in space where we belong, sail back over water, over skies, into space, the hook finally out of our mouths and we wander back out there in space spawning to other planets never to return hurrah to earth and we'll look back and can't even see these lives here anymore. Only the taste of blood to remind us we ever existed. The earth is small. We're gone. We're dead. We're safe." -John Guare, Landscape of the Body

I was a member of the audience when I saw Wit. I was a participant at Sleep No More.

I wish WIT could be an experience like SLEEP NO MORE. If any play calls for it, it's WIT.

Roscoe - if that's truly all you got out of this amazing piece, I will certainly be taking your opinion with a grain of salt from now on.
