I can’t read through a pay wall but I think there only needs to be very simple rules 

1. you don’t need to dress fancy, just be clean 

2. don’t talk, look at your phone, sing along to or do anything else that is distracting to your fellow audience members or the actors 

3. don’t scream over people singing the money notes. We are here to hear them, not you screaming 

We’re battling every night on 2&3 and <alan cumming cabaret> and every night we lose the battle.

I agree, yet people have such difficulty comprehending and abiding by these!

Any chance this article can be gifted? After they refused to endorse anyone for president last November, I won't pay for the Post.

I love dressing up for the theater, but all I require of others is to put their phone away, be quiet, and to please shower the day of the show. You'd think it would be simple enough :)

Usually, articles beyond the paywall allow subscribers to send gift links. This particular article is missing that icon. I don't know why. So I thought the regular forwarding icon would work. I'll check again Monday.
