I think LBB needs to give this role a rest. When is this show slated to go to the West End again?
2009 is all that has been confirmed.

The west end production will be in Spring of '09 and Laura said she's doing workshops around the U.S. for a while first. And after what this show did to her voice I think she'll want to take a very long break from it before going back...so my opinion would be a no she isn't going to do it. But who knows
Bloody hope so!
She doesn't need to stay long, but she'd be a superb opener for the show.
I am slightly anxious, seeing as Legally Blonde will require Elle having a flawless American accent...let alone embody the role perfectly.

Aww, I wish I was there for her last show.
I LOVE LBB, but I would like to see a new girl fill her shoes in the West End production. Hopefully there will be a cast recording?

I bet Laura will do London, she said in a recent interview that she doesn't think shes done with the role just yet.
This show would tank in the West End.
I dont think so. The movie made $8,775,064 during its run in the UK. So they know the name and apparently love it since they were the ones who grossed the moss for a forgien release.
"This show would tank in the West End."
Why do you think so?
So I just have to give huge props to the cast members that stagedoored last night. I have been to a lot of lasts and have NEVER seen a stage door as ridiculous as that. The Palace theatre crew is always efficient and at one point, had to put up police lines to keep people out of the street. I don't think it's an exaggeration to say there were hundreds of people there. Not only that, b ut people were staking out the alley way door as well. And knowing all that, LBB still came out, signed graciously and when she tried to get in her car, people SURROUNDED IT AND BLOCKED IT IN THE STREET. Outrageous behavior, but I just had to insert my props for LBB, Andy, Orfeh, NJJ and the other brave cast that came out and signed. So kind.
I was going to say the same thing as Wicked4l. I also heard in an interview somewhat recently that she has a feeling that this isn't the end for her with Legally Blonde.
Two things came to mind after I heard that 1. she might retake over the role if the mtv girl tanks--but I seriously doubt it or 2. she might play elle in England
Broadwayworld has someone taking photos of the two "stars" of Grease leaving and nothing about LBB. No photos, no footage, no article. Nothing. I have been waiting all day out here in LA for something and they don't even throw us leftcoasters a bone.
broadway.com has an album of about 40 pics from curtain call and the after party.
gee. owned.

I was there at the show too. I was up in the balcony and it was crazy up there. I was also at SD and started up at the barricades but got pushed way back in line. OMG the Bend and Snap that Christian did was HILARIOUS and was the whole scene leading up to Bend and Snap. Orfeh and Tracy Jai had me crying I was laughing that hard. Laura had me crying for other reasons especially in Legally Blonde(even through the siren..LOL).
As to who said about Laura having something on her face during Harvard Variations so Bruiser would lick her face. I have seen Bruiser do that both times I seen the show before.

omc the siren!! I was really hoping it would stop before she started singing, and I believe it stopped a few lines in.
I don't even have any interest in seeing Bailey or Autumn. LBB is always gonna be Elle for me.
Kelly2...I mostly agree. Nobody can replace LBB. She WAS Elle Woods. However, I hope Bailey can win me over. I still want to support the show, so maybe I will see it again the future.
oh my! the sirens! I almost forgot. Very bad timing. The theatre was so quiet and the sirens were so loud and distracting!! lol I was wondering if LBB was going to say something funny about it since she was doing some adlibs throughout the night. Luckily, Laura was in the moment and pushed through.

You could tell that she heard it also. I thought that she was gonna say something silly to stop from crying but I'm glad she didn't.

In which interview that everyone seems to be referring to did Laura Bell say she doesn't think she's done with Elle Woods or "Legally Blonde" yet? I am very curious to see that.
Yes, friends and neighbors, this total f**king HORROR is finally over. Shame on all of you for watching this corporate tripe.
ALL of you!
Sorry buddy, it's not over. It's still making 800K a week and will probably continue for at least another year.
And I, for one, am happy about that.
And also I, for one, will miss LBB. She really gave her all to the role and stuck with it despite the fact that she was killing herself eight times a week. I'll be there at whatever she does next.

Robert Taylor (and it's always weird communicating with dead guys) I agree with you 100%. Say what you will about Laura Bell Bundy, she really earned her salary and then so much more.

You've said this in three threads already. We get it.
