Was it a matinee or evening performance?
Surprised there wasn't a thread already!

I was there. It was amazing. The crowd was electric and Laura went out with a bang. She got a huge standing ovation when she first came on. Lot of love for her, Natalie Joy Johnson and Andy Karl.
She accidentally called Asmeret, Dequina at one point before "What You Want"

lol, where did she get "Dequina" from?
I saw her two weeks ago and she was amazing! During "Chip on your shoulder" the mirror broke so she did the bend and snap while picking it up. She also tripped (but didn't fall) during her curtain call. She will be missed.

i was there =D
HUGE applause when she first came on.
She mouthed a thank you and the applause continued
Then some tears came and she took a tissue from like her foot or shoe, wiped her tears, and stuffed it in her bra. lol
Yeah she said Dequina instead of Pilar. Asmeret brought on the little Legally Blonde program I believe and so Laura showed the inside to the audience then said "It's going to take more than Legally Blonde to bring me back from my shame spiral" or something like that.
And OMIGOD Christian's bend and snap was sooooo funny. You couldn't hear the "and your boyfriends name?" "carlos" but that doesn't matter cause the bend and snap was hysterical.
No speech at the end, just flowers.
I wanted to say congrats and stuff at Stage Door but the crowd was HUGE and we were in a rush anyways.
Also, the theater was full. I was in the front mezz and i went up to the balcony during intermission and it was packed.
So sad she's gone =[[ I'm going to see the show probably one more time with the winner of the reality tv show...well...depending on who wins actually...

She didn't accidentally call Asmeret "Dequina" - Dequina had a very specific line delivery for the "Town & Country" line, which Asmeret did tonight. Laura Bell jokingly called her Dequina because of that.
And yes, Kevin adlibbed the "Yes, stretch it out, Miss Woods!" bit.

Also, I don't know if she's done this before, but Laura Bell put something on her face because when she first arrives at Harvard the dog kept on licking her face and she kissed him too.
And she's going to need a lot of rest on that voice. I heard it had gotten bad but not this bad. I thought everyone was exaggerating. She still did extremely well for the condition she was in though. She was pretty hoarse but then sang So Much Better really well (it was in the lower key). Then after intermission her voice seemed to have gotten much better until somewhere near the end where it got hoarse again. A lot of notes that should have been held out she cut short and she did some rifting (is that the right word...?) to make up for not holding out those notes.
OH OH one more thing. Nikki Snelson was in the audience!! She was in the box on the right and people were in line to get autographs and stuff before the show started. I bumped into her in the lobby (she was wearing a bright pink dress) and was going to ask for a picture when she started kissing her boyfriend (er husband, I don't know her relationship status) so I decided not to bother her.
During 'Whipped Into Shape' I looked over to her from time to time and she was bobbing her head and was really enjoying the number.

What an amazing show. The first time I really felt moved by it in a long time. BRILLIANT performances from miss Orfeh (OMG THOSE RIFFS...), Andy Karl (who will be missed), and Laura Bell Bundy, who proved that NONE of those reality show bitches can EVER fill her pink shoes.
Totally worth every penny of the 111.50$. Wow.
Highlights:
- Bonecake (sort of)
- "Thanks, Dequina."
- "It's upscale...."
- Christian Borle doing the Bend and Snap
- Laura Bell's "Legally Blonde" ballad.
- Orfeh's "Ireland (reprise)" (seriously what were those notes.)
Just...wow. Not ENTIRELY coherent I don't think, the stagedoor was such a mess. Took about a year to get out of the theatre. Didn't bother trying to stay for Laura Bell...but, WOW. If she took the time to sign for everyone, she has the patience of a saint. What a supportive, insane, wonderful show and audience. She and Andy (and Natalie!) definitely went out with a bang!

OMC Orfeh in Ireland was AMAZING
maybe it will end up on -the site- lol
So where was everyone sitting? Just curious
There were some girls next to me doing the delta nu sign everytime it was done on stage...me and my friends did the first couple of claps and that little dance move during the beginning of Bend and Snap...hehe...we couldn't resist.
Wait...what was the 'upscale' thing?

At the matinee today she sang "don't want to look like A desperate or [which sounded like 'whore'] like I'm waiting for it"
Did she do that again? It was hilarious, but it didn't get a huge laugh at the time because it was so unexpected.
