Depending on when she saw it in Chicago.
iheartmark: I'll try and come. Maybe I can try and drag the boyfriend to it. I think though I may only be able to come to Pippin. I know my boyfriend prefers Pippin to JCS. Don't ask. Don't know why. So we'll certainly try to make it.

Yay! (although yes the whole Pippin over JCS is really weird...I'm so scared for Pippin, we are ridiculously behind schedule..) Oops...*end threadjack*

You are so very welcome! I'm wondering if I should maybe have PMed you with those. I don't know if they're "street legal." Can't see how they wouldn't be but I'm not the expert. Go have fun and show some mad love for Anthony. You can be sure that I'll be watching WYO about once every hour.

What are the downloads?
And did anyone else notice that Wilson was wearing Anthony's red star shirt (from the Today Show) at Bryant Park? Maybe Wilson just picked up the wrong one after...*stops that pretty thought right there because she's sure to get the Wilson fans mad at her...yes, she knows he's straight*
Adam and Ant doing What You Own just made my freakin' LIFE!

1. Ted Allen: Everyone has an interesting life if you ask the right questions.
2. Great buckets of Spoffnor, they're going to sing!
3. "I love shrubs that are historical." -Johnny and The Sprites
4. "We're not singing it to you, we're singing it for us." -Rosario Dawson, about La Vie Boheme
5. "The best moments in reading are when you come across something - a thought, a feeling, a way of looking at things - which you had thought special and particular to you. And now, here it is, set down by someone else, a person you have never met, someone even who is long dead. And it is as if a hand has come out, and taken yours." -The History Boys
6. "Pass the parcel. That's sometimes all you can do. Take it, feel it and pass it on. Not for me, not for you, but for someone, somewhere, one day. Pass it on, boys. That's the game I want you to learn. Pass it on." -The History Boys

Mine, too! Oh how I do love Anthony.
I noticed the shirt, too. I wonder if he just didn't have anything else to change into. I figured they all changed since it got so much hotter out after the Today show. In any case, Anthony can wear red like nobody's business.
The downloads are from the Today show. I have no idea where they came from or who posted them. But it's basically what you would have seen on your TV screen. I just wanted ot be able to listen to them over and over again so I can get my RENT fix. It's a long time till the soundtrack comes out.

Sorry! I don't know how else you could get them. SOL was on the Today show website yesterday. I'm not sure if it still is. I tohught they would have updated their site with the whole performance by now. But there have been a TON of boards about it. Someone there might know where you could see it.

The today show with Anthony and Adam singing "what you own" made my day! It was so worth waking up early. And Anthony if you are reading this you did awesome, as did the whole cast! Traci thoms voice gets me every time, it's so pretty.

You are so very right, EM. I taped it on my crappy VCR and will watch it every morning while eating my oatmeal. Anthony, you were fantastic, as usual.
EM, thanks for helping me keep this thread at the top of the message board. Where has everyone been? I know Anthony hasn't been around i awhile (at least he hasn't posted), but I still need Anthony fans to talk to. No one else understands me.

The shirt thing made me laugh. :-P I do wonder if its Anthony's shirt or if Wilson just happened to have the same one. Heh and this is the sadness of my life, pondering T-shirts worn by broadway actors.....right.
And yes, Adam and Anthony singing What You Own was incredible and it had me smiling quite widely (and perhaps obnoxiously) for the rest of the day. I think my friends thought I was high or something. :-P But no. Well, high on the beauty of RENT maybe..... God that was awsome.
And in other news, my LSoH tickets just came in the mail! Row CC seat 22. Woohoo! Well although he was initally mistaken for Anthony, I'm glad that it seems Jonathan does a really good Seymour. I can't wait to see him and the rest of the cast.
PS. glad to see this thread back again. It truly is the thread that can never die! 3 cheers for the Anthony fans that keep it alive!! *cheers*

it's funny you mention smiling widely all day, i was the same way!! My mom was like " It's not that exciting!" i looked at her and i said " Anthony Rapp just sang what you own, and i have it on tape! It is the most exciting thing that has hapened to me in the past two months. Join in the glory of it all!!!" she replied: "oh my god, do what you will!" it was funny i got rolling of the eyes and a small smile that said i cant believe you are my child.

My school started the 4th and I had to set the VCR...but it worked and the second I got home, I started to look through the tape, screaming, "OH MY COLLINS! I don't care about some chubby kid throwing corn! I want Anthony and all his pretty friends! All I care about is effing Anthony...in every sense of the word!" And then I found it and began to scream and dance and sing and yell, "Yay, they're letting Ant talk!" ...So happy I am with the little things like a wonderful guy talking...
As for the shirt thing, I just wonder who owns it and who borrowed it...I'm loserly enough to wonder things like that.

Haha Incedniary, my reaction to seeing WYO was much the same. :-P It was early in the morning and I'd just woken up so my energy and coordination level isn't that wonderful so I started jumping up and cheering and then I promptly tripped on my shoe and fell over. Then I started cheering madly again. Safely sitting on my bed this time. :-P My dad and sis thought I was nuts for cheering so loudly but what do I care? It's Anthony and Adam singing live for Godsake. If that doesn't get a few good "HOORAYS" out of me I don't know what will. :-P

tripping over a shoe, eh? I didnt trip over a shoe but i was pretty damn excited. I didn't know what time it would come on so i set my TV to wake me up at 7 AM, I didnt even know what 7AM looked like until thursday. Then i fell asleep again and then i heard the worn RENT and then looked at the TV and was faked out by it all when they introduced Andy flipping milinokis (sp?). I was so pissed at the point so i just watched ans waited. I must say your tripping over a shoe and cheering loudly enough to make your family wonder what was up, is far better than mine will ever be!

Heh yeah that'll be a reaction to go down in the books. Maybe because it was so early in the morning and I was being spazzy but who knows. Damn funny though. That's going right up there with my CSI reaction (seeing Eric Szmanda with a rubber glove on his head and a mask with fangs drawn on rocking out to heavy metal using test tubes as drumsticks is ****ing hilarious, can I just say..) and my friend and my celebrate RENT moment. In a nutshell, it involves blaring La Vie Boheme in an outdoor eating courtyard and jumping on a table and dancing like two mad things. (which we are). :-P Ahh good times, good times......

Dream,
What exactly was your reaction to Eric with the fangs and something drawn on the goggles and the latex glove blown up to look like a chicken when he put it on his head? That was funny though. Dancing around in the headdress was the best though! I miss the old Greg. Okay sorry for the threadjack.
Actually I watched the segment with my boyfriend. We were rocking to What You Own. And needless to say we'll be the dorks in Seattle dancing in the aisles to La Vie Boheme. But we'll be loud and proud.
