Haha Race, I know I miss the old goofy Greg with the constantly moving porn collection and crazy hair styles. :-P They need to bring him back. Or at least bring the Swami hat back. And my reaction was I had fallen asleep at the beginning of the episode and I was dozing and I woke up and I see the image of Greg with his fang mask, gloves etc and its like 6-8 inches from my face (my TV is next to the head of my bed on a cart) and I kind of half screamed and tumbled off the edge of my bed with a loud *thud.* End threadjack now.

Hahaha Road Trip made me laugh. Normally I'm not a huge fan of those "stupid slapstick comedy" movies but I found this one entertaining. Or maybe it was just because of Anthony, who knows. Can I just say that the part with the python still cracks me up? :-P Heh death by mass suicide with a cult due to Koolaid. Niiiiiice.

And finally, Race I'll be a dork with you guys and dance to La Vie Boheme in the aisles or on my seat maybe! Only I'll be in California. Still, it'll be fun! Anthony & the Cast on Today

Hi all! I'm new to the board, but have been reading for months. I have a question that I thought one of you might be able to answer. For months we've been hearing about the movie opening on November 11. All of a sudden a couple of days ago I see it changed to only NY, LA, and Toronto. The rest of us have to wait an extra week and a half. Anybody hear anything about when and why they decided to break most of our hearts like that?

Welocme, Johnho!! It's nice to have another Anthony fan around. I don't have a definite answer to your question, but I do have a good possible answer. The studio is probably just trying to build more buzz and excitement for the opening weekend. Because the movie will be fabulous, those who saw it in its 12 days of limited release will rave about it and create a lot of positive energy for the 23rd. This will also make Thanksgiving weekend, a GREAT weekend for theaters, the opening weekend for the film. Instead of having Fri-Sun numbers for the opening weekend Box Office count, RENT will have Wed-Sun. I know some people were really disappointed when they learend that the movie was pushed back a bit. But really, it's only 12 days and it's in the best interest of the film.

Happy Monday to everyone!! I wish I hadn't missed all the posts that went on here over the weekend. Sounds like we all had about the same reaction to WYO. How freakin great is that song? I pretty much spent my weekend dancing around my apartment and blasting my RENT OBC. I'm sure my roommate was very glad that she was not around to see me shaking my ass and dancing with the sweeper. i definitely frightened our kitties and probably made some enemies out of the neighbors. C'est la vie!

Wax Lion would like everyone to know that the dates have not really been changed. It's a known fact that movies open in large cities before opening wide. It's all about money. Competition among studios for the most profitable release dates is intense, and is one of the most critical competitive choices a studio can make. Studios often preannounce targeted release dates long before the actual releases of their movies. They may also further adjust the announced dates when competitors movies change their targeted dates, new competitors come into the release schedule and scheduled movies exit into other seasons. That's probably more than you wanted to know, but Wax Lion is always here to lend a helping paw.

Love,
Wax Lion

Am I the only person who's actually a little excited about the new date? Now I can have a big Peasant Feast on the 23rd and we can all make a group trip to the theater down the street to see the movie after.

Dream you should try watching SFU and then falling asleep. I swear if a certain movie, which shall remain nameless gave you some weird dreams then SFU will definitely. Especially as you get into the second season. Lol. Sorry. Or maybe just don't watch it before you go to bed or something. Least it wasn't furries or the episode after that. And according to Hodges it was "semi-pornographic" magazines that got moved around. I could do without the weird mohawk shave thing.

Sorry people for the threadjack.

Well we'll see if we can come down for our break. I'm voting for not driving down though. At least in the car. Constantly having the GPS telling me "Off route, re-calculating" is not my idea of a good 14 and a half hours just to Redding. So plane or train is my vote.

Dancing like dorks and mooing. Whoohoo!

If you're flying to southern California, I'll be around iheartmark! As far as I know it's coming out on the 11th in LA and I'm definitly going to see it that day, school or no school. Heh, I love the LA public transit system at times like these. :-P

*threadjack* Haha Race I'll keep that in mind. I've had enough disturbing dreams related to TV and movies to last me 4 lifetimes, no need to be adding more now. :-P And I agree, driving all the way down to LA from Washington would be a pain in the ass. Totally understandable. But yeah maybe there's a train or plane that can be taken. *end threadjack*

I'm a little late, but welcome Johnho! Anthony fans make my day! Anthony & the Cast on Today Enjoy this thread where we've probably managed to hit every possible topic of discussion plus more. Seriously, this thread could probably be turned into a highly entertaining, highly random book someday.

Well hope everyone is having a wonderful Monday. I'm off to nap, working with little peanuts (kids) who all want to be actors and actresses (and pre-madonnas) is draining and I have an audition tonight! Anthony & the Cast on Today Wish me luck!

I did find one thing that possible disturbed me similarly on SFU to stuff on CSI. Really. It's just funny in a weird sort of way I guess.

Yes welcome to the craziness that is us Anthony fans. I'm sure we haven't scared him off, but really we can be kind of crazy sometimes.

Dream I don't think Nick and I'll be driving because that's insane. Laguna Seca is one thing, but that's a bit farther north than LA. So I vote for train(which I've never taken). Still it shall be fun.

okay got to go for now. Talk to ya'll later.

Ok, I'm really late saying all this but I couldn't help it because my internet was down for the past two weeks...it was horrible. anyway..
WOW! the Today show made my week! They all sounded wonderful, I wish i could've been there. And seeing Anthony and Adam perform What You Own! I was in tears. I was so thrilled. I loved how much fun they all seemed to be having with each other. And if Anthony's lurking by any chance, it was really sweet of you to say Thank you after each song in response to the cheering.

and to everyone here...I don't think this was discussed, but I might've overlooked it. But did y'all see the new clip of Mark talking to Roger on the Today show? It was new for me at least. They were talking over the clip so I had to lip read, but i think it was: something something maybe go broke, and I ask myself what the hell am I doing here. and then Roger smiles. Does anyone have any guesses as to where the scene fits in? Any input would be great...I'm just curious.
Well Thanks,
spreading the Anthony love

Oh my word..... the first one is fine, but the second...my goodness......that is all I can say......

Anyways answering your question Theatrelover, first off yes I had quite the little episode when I saw that clip. Yeah I know it was tiny and voiced over but it was early in the morning and my mind tends to overexaggerate emotions at that time, anyways....based off costume I'd have to guess that its a conversation that takes place somewhere between the morning after they sing Rent and The Tango Maureen. Because I remember that Mark has that red zip-up on during the tango but he doesn't go back to the loft after that, he goes to life support then Roger catches up with them and so on and so forth. My best guess would be that it happens right before Mark leaves and Roger sings One Song Glory. I dunno, that's just my weird reasoning. And yes, it could be viewed as sad by some that I know such minute details about this but what can you do.....

Welcome, Macavity! We're glad you deicided to join us!

EM, I, too, was pissed that Katie talked over the clip. But hopefully they'll all be making the rounds to Leno, Letterman and such and we'll get to see clips there. And hopefully it will be very soon.

So I've been posting all over the boards that I think Anthony is so great that he could play any role. Including the shark in Jaws. At first everyone pretty much ignored it and I think many of them skipped right over my post. Now I'm going back to those boards and every other post has something about Anthony as the shark in Jaws. Anyone else seen a ton of his work and think the man could play anything, including but not limited to the shark in Jaws?

Yeah stupid damned voiceovers. Nothing against Katie Couric but I wish I could hear what was being said. Oh well, as someone else said, hopefully it'll be a clip that is passed around the studio circuit and aired alot.
